Matches taking too long? Put a timer on them. Whichever side has more kills/influence when the clock strikes 0:00 wins. If teams tie, they tie.

Let me give you an example screen shot, from a pug the other night

pic

that match only went for around 15 minutes, yet i mange to more than double the damage of the next player.

Maybe its a fed escort thing as to why you cant kill healers i dont know, i admit i have no experience in the fed escort, but my raptor build has no problem annihilating any healer, except for tac cruisers that chain rsp with tactical initiative.

And dont take the feds are noobs comment personally, because the reason i label feds noobs is because most of them are.

People that say heals are OP and top healers can output more healing than damage, yes this is true against the vast majority of players and builds, but against a pro player with the right setup, they will always out damage more than one person can heal, their only saving grace is rsp.

I'll ignore your nonsense ramblings for now and comment about how "Star Trek is all shields" Well let us lok at the defiant shall we? It had pretty poor shields but awesome hull armour. Although again, this was DS9 which for the entire series every races ships seemed to have turned of their shield generators and took torps straight in the face for no reason.

You do know that was practically the same guild fighting each other using rather dubious setups? You're calling the same guild fighting itself noobs for not killing each other when they are packing the most hideous sci offensive/support skills on both sides? I dread to think what getting hit by that many photonic shockwaves and perma scramble sensors is like.. Oh wait, i do.. cos we play with them reasonably frequently.

well a pic of you pwning noobs... hmmm very meaningful. says about as much as this PIC :p

i mean seriously in a cap n hold.... you probably are a pretty good player, but still you wouldn´t even get close to those damage numbers with serious opponents.

oh my mistake, i though there was a general challenge since you said you can take anyone out in 5 seconds if they didnt use rsp.

i think the whole point though is that healing may not need nerfing but may just need some slight adjusting in how its done. now with that being said, i have no idea how to go about adjusting it, i just dont think its quite right and hopefully will be adjusted over the life time of the game.

i still have the mindset that anyone can deal damage but it takes more skills to live through it.

It's not RAW but it would be a fine houserule.

Err, what I mean to say is that could be a nice additional feature for any map type - something the new Challenge system could add.

True. I played against him yesterday in Cap n Hold match when I was playing with my eng/esc (Borginda).

He played very well, good dps, but in Arena matches he would not survive long imho. If he have to run from me everytime, and I was eng/esc, he won't do much damage in Arena like we did.

And besides that, my chars are not premade
