# 1 Redesign PVP maps or removal

As it stands battles are not fought within the maps they are fought out side of the map near the top of the map in the middle of nowhere. Brior patch doesn't give the Brior patch feel it should. In cracked Planetoid you have all of the excellent cover the debris gives you from the planet to hide for a sec and recover your shields but yet no one ever fights where they are generally supposed to. In video games maps are supposed to be played in not out of, so reduce the size of the maps to confine players to the map is the first suggestion. Next suggestion is to make a map devoid of everything except for the spawn gates and background. For map specific ones Brior patch needs to be like the Brior patch mission with the exploding clouds of gas everywhere forcing players to fight within certain pockets of safe zones or risk getting caught in a gas explosion. Solar wind needs random flying comets to fly threw the map and upon collision with an object will explode dealing damage if it collides with a mine or ship. As for Cracked Planetoid There should be more planetary debree floating around. Create 2 more maps, one simple one thats just spawn gates and a few derelict ships in it and a map biased around fighting in a nebula biased of of the wrath of Khan nebula where fighting is hard from searching for targets, in the nebula all cloaking is disabled and detection ranged would be limited to around 11 km out instead of the 30km we have. Im just tired of all these climbing matches and turret matches. I shouldn't have to join a fleet to play a good game i shouldn't have to join a fleet for any thing other to be a a community that supports each other, but its really sad that i have to join a fleet to play with people who think and use a map like it was ment to be.

I go where the people are. I hate this respawn issue where if one side rushes the spawn of another they end up camping it. The problem is that one side is more willing than the other to move up. I'd love to fight in the middle but I'm not waiting all day for someone to find their thrusters.

I don't want the maps to be any smaller and more debris will only aggravate my graphics card, lol. We are playing in space. Making the arenas smaller doesn't make sense to me.

Agreed..

I have a lot of problems on solar with lag and although I love the new Q system I wish we could
go back and be able to choose the maps we want to play and as far as players climbing to top of the map
I think some do it because it gives a slight tact. advantage in that players that respawn have to climb back
up an its harder to get weapons trained on to ppl above you.

And as for the spawn camping I don think its always intentional and as a matter of fact a lot of the times
the feds just sit and wait for the klinks to arrive even though they have just as much time to move as
we do but they dont, Was in a game last nite and that happened and we were accused of spawn camping
then the very next game we were against the same ppl and guess what they waited at there spawn point
till we got there so what are you going to do.

So like the quote said I go to where the opponents are and if there still milling around there spawn point
then Im sorry but you should have moved, It takes the Klinks all of 5 seconds to team up and get moving
towards the middle and if there is no one there then we keep going till we find them simple as that.

I think this issue is also (at least partially) tied to people exploiting the Z-axis mechanic.

I don't know if that's exactly what you meant, but I think too many people fly high up and duke it out in free space. That's pretty boring. It's good against escorts that run away and hide behind asteroids, but still... boring.

There need to be more objects to interact with. If there was just a reason to do so...

This post is about bring in life into the arenas not shrinking the maps down im just saying reduce the open space area out side the spawn gate quite a bit so as to bring the fighting into the maps many times the fighting ended up way out into the unknown to slap agints the leave map boundary due to some feds trying to run it would also help for snuffing out thoes who exploit the boundry trying to get free PVP currency.
