# 1 it's a good day to ....

it's a good day to ..... not log back into ST:O.

lifetime subscriber here.... yes i really was that gullible to believe the hype surrounding star trek online and pay out nearly 200 GBP when it first appeared.

i was here for the open beta and saw the state of the planned release and i swallowed the lies about how great it was going to be and how hard the devs were working to sort out the issues with the game.

i played this or rather i got played by a game company with no scruples depending on how you look at it.

how long ago was the open beta? ... at least 8 months+ now and still the same issues appearing and not being sorted out
same monotonous "missions" template being used with the same illogical mindset of just spawning mobs of npcs and let the customers run about like idiots for a few hours mostly not being able to complete the "missions" oh its a mission alright.

i check the forums occasionally but dont log into the game since i un-installed the client a few weeks after this mish mash of code posing as a MMO was set upon the paying subscribers and what do i see? ...... the same old story of people pointing out almost identical issues with the game that were glaringly obvious.

the "tech support" is nothing but a sick joke .... the staff have problems understanding the basic concepts of the english language when you spell it out like you would explain something to a small child only to get replies back saying " could you tell us what the problem is" when as ive stated you have already explained several times........ total joke.

i was promised a full refund for my lifetime sub then it was snatched away at the last moment saying they dont give refunds.... scumbag conmen at best and at worse, well lets not go there.

the game is beyond borked and the sto team continue to fleece the customers with their warped understanding of what makes a game enjoyable.

so as the title says its a good day to not log into ST:O..............vote with your wallets people dont let the fleecing continue.........cryptic couldnt give a toss about your views they continue to pump out broken content.

all round the game should be scrapped and given to a reputable company who actually know how to make a game enjoyable and have some real knowledge of how to code a game.

poor show all round ... and good riddance.

For me it's a good day to buy a new hard drive, but that's probably a story that's too awesome for this thread.

i think it just best that no one else post in this thread and just let it die. It shouldn't come to a dev closing it to make it disappear.

i dont know how to change it to show ... i did send a ticket to the "support" to ask how i could do so but funnily enough i gave up after the volley of responses never actually replying and answering my questions.

doesnt change the fact that i am a "lifetime subscriber"

Well if you have decided to leave that is your choice. Best in whatever you get up to in life.

Obvious question: Can I have your stuff? (Asked because someone has to and just to get it out of the way).
