So I was getting aggravated with my away team getting plastered in 8 seconds by this one group of NPCs. "Defeated" three of them, 4th one was a bi.....t difficult. I was wishing I could beam to a different spot on the map, closer to them (and wishing I could beam out faster) and it hit me. Lets make site to site transport a ground ability with a cooldown. Make it 3 minutes or more. I'm not sure, don't particularly care, I won't use it THAT often. But I use Orbital Strike even less. Plus, who hasn't beamed into ESD or DS9 for that ONE errand and had it be on the other side of the station. Your character gets a good job in making it over there.

Thoughts?

Hmm that sounds like a really good idea, It'd be really cool if you could set the beam in spots for all members of your away team so you beam in in flanking positions.

My thoughts.

Reduce cooldown to 1m in 30.
Affects all team members within a radius.
Can't beam to within X distance from enemies.
