I had a very weird experience in KSF last week. Flying a decently-equipped escort from the start of the fleet action, constantly killing mission objectives, and two people got waaaay, higher scores. I really wondered how it was possible, and whether there was an exploit.
Without violating the terms of service, can you describe how to tell if someone is using the exploit? Can't report it without seeing evidence personally, and more reports might increase the chance of a fix.
The issue lies with all the fleet actions counting only damage as contribution. The more damage you do, the more points you get. Objectives DO NOT matter. Only damage does. When the fleet action ends, your damage is totalled up and that's your ranking.
If you think through where the major lull in action is in the Klingon Scout Force is, and what happens to constantly spawn, you will know how to gain a lot of extra points. Just think what constantly spawns and what doesn't.
No it doesn't. Points count accomplishments within the Fleet Actions.
For instance in Big Dig , you get more points if you are the ones freeing the archaeologists, planting the shield generators, and killing the Captains than those who were just killing Romulans and Remans. With Ice Mine it's planting the bombs, killing the Spotters, and clicking on the transmitters. And for Scout Mission and Minefield, the more kills that goes towards the mission, the higher your score.
I find this a little hard to believe. If you are out DPS'ing everyone else and and getting the objectives done fast, you would obviously get a higher score. So if you are seeing a Tac ship winning that should be no surprise. How is it an exploit if you are just playing well? I keep seeing people yell "exploit!" when the other player is just damn good and has a well built ship.
If this is real, I want some details. The is no TOS violation is this is a legitimate complaint and helps others realize what is going on so we can keep an eye out for it and keep the playing field level and report those in real violation.
(A really good example of this is a Fleet mate of mine always gets accused of some kind of exploit/cheating when he dominates in PvP. He's really just that good.)
If you don't believe it then you don't believe it. But I'm not going to give you the details and get myself in trouble just to prove myself.
And I can absolutely say it isn't someone simply being good, because I watched this person and he didn't shoot down a single BoP, nor destroyed any Cruisers. Once the mission got to the turrets, he then participated all the way to the end.
So if you know a way of scoring first place without shooting down a BoP or a Cruiser and it not being an exploit, then by all means let me know.
