There is. It's in the belt of Asteroids. After you kileld BoPs and Cruisers and before you get to fight the Neg'Vars in the asteroid field and finally the Command Carrier group.
The minefield part is relatively short (comapred to the tediousness of waiting for Klingon cruisers.).

I have joined Scout Force in the middle on several occasions and ended up 3rd or 4th. Just think about the amount of damage/heals and objectives there are available at the end compared to the beginning. That's true for any Fleet Action. It is possible to win even from the middle of the objectives.

I don't want to start a flame war, but have any of the Devs/GMs said anything yet? What was the ticket response?

If the Fleet Actions were simply counting damage, than it would be highly in favor of escorts. I seriously doubt Cryptic made it to where you had to be a certain class in a certain ship in order to rank high.

Because i wanted to get 1st place in fleet action get the trophies in my ship interior i had to jump into a escort to do the dps to get 1st place. In my usual sci ship i have no chance in hell of getting 1st place.

Honestly I do think its all based how much dps your doing not how much your contributing towards objectives.

Archived 1st Place last week. Way ahead of a Tactical Officer with his DPS-Boat...

Here is the Trick:

- Be there from the start
- Rush to the enemies
- Use AOE Damage (Tricobalt Device, Breen Transphasic Cluster Torpedo)
- Use Holo-Fleet (Science only)
- Dont wait for respawn, roam the area (there are Neg'Var's sitting nearby and of course the turrents)

There you go... Science is gunning, Tacticals are running :p

GMs said the typical, "we will look into it".

But I will assure you, this is an exploit and not a simple case of out DPSing. This person abused the score system, while others did the work of clearing out the BoPs and Cruisers. And he did camped out in Scout Force all day doing this.

Yeah there are no mines there are turrets in the Klingon Fleet Action. Last time I did that I got 4500 points and second place was just shy of 3k. . .and that sort of thing is rather consistent. I don't do anything special. I kill anything that moves and try to be at the leading edge of the wave. Shoot that time i died twice trying to take down the final ship and still got that score.

I think that Healing also may count towards your score? I know I throw around quite a bit of healing when I can. I also suspect that not only is pure damage important but also damaging a target that contributes to progression. So even if your not top DPS if you hit 5 targets that contribute to the score vs someone who does massive DPS but only hits one target, you'll still come out even. This is why i am sure AoE abilities contribute so much (I use Scatter Volley alot)

Well, I have to admit I am wrong about this... Azurian is correct. I do agree something needs to be changed.

The fleet actions are pretty easy to rack up crazy scores with out completing much or any of it really.

I have won the Starbase 24 plenty of times comming in when it is down to the last 8-9 ships.... I have won the defense force one comming in pretty late too.

Massive damage and massive crits = high score... Silly system but thats the way it works.

It is of course possible that this person knows of an exploit. It is also possible that he has a ship designed to deliver insane spike damage, and knows the end ships have the hull to rack up the score. (The bops don't count for much with there little bitty hulls)
