I see DS9 as unfinished, there are lots of doors and areas such as the commanders office that are not used... Hopefuly they have plans to open up the station some more, on par with Starbase 1. Maybe when they do a Bajoran Feature Episode or something. At least that is my hope. DS9 has such a good back story it would be a shame to see it stay in its unused state. It would also be nice to see a modern Defiant stationed there that we could interact with or board by using the docking ring and look arround.

Instead of overhauling it they should just create a party instance

Why don't we see ships entering and leaving the wormhole, ships docking and undocking? Isn't DS9 supposed to be the main trading post/defence between the Alpha and Gamma Quadrants? It should be full of life inside and out not a dead and lifeless place. Add some traffic to it like ESD and K-7.

For anyone who listens to the various STO themed radio stations, its not unheard of for such a 'party' to unfold in the game. The music isn't in the game. It just plays from your browser in the background.

However, I wouldn't be opposed to an 'in-game' party theme every once in a while. Be it at Quark's or any other social instance of the game.

We definitely need somewhere like this on DS9 but would also need a slightly quieter area in Quarks bar (though much more lively than now) for meeting to discuss deals / latest adventures etc.
