Thanks SO MUCH for all your support, and we'll see you in-game!
Well... The reward aside, I have personally enjoyed having my lifetime supscription. (The captains table is not that great, You can buy the extra char slot in the C-Store and you can "almost" make a liberated borg from the Alien Character creator).
For one I don't have to worry about if i loose money or not when going on vacation or somthing like that, because I won't waste money if i pay for a month, and mid way go away for a week or two.
Another great thing is that I can take my time about pretty much anything. Im not under pressure to do it in a allocated time.
The bad thing is that you don't know if the game goes down hill tomorrow. Once the money is spend it is spend.
I am still happy with my desicion, and I support anyone who wants it, but theres an equal balance between pros and cons.
Revo, if you are considering playing for long time, then you should probably consider getting the lifetime. It will definitely be cheaper in the long run.
I tend to not play games very frequently. I like being able to put this game down without the pressure of only having a certain time frame to play as posted above.
Some of the perks are nice. They make you feel a little special. Though I did buy a LTS to play the game as long as it's here, not for the perks. I actually wish other players could play as liberated borgs.. Captain's Table is a nice place to get away from the busier Earth Space Dock if you want to avoid that from time to time.
I personally have a lot of faith in the development team that this game will continue to improve in time. Based on that, I would certainly suggest a LTS to anyone.

That's another reason I got a LTS. When I got mine before the game launched, it equaled about 2 years of subscription time. I certainly plan to stay around for that long.
Lifetime's okay, but you have to remember that you're a guy, and guys on Lifetime are generally portrayed as wife beaters, child molesters, and general scum. You need to be effiminate to get anywhere on....
Well, ultimately it's a decision only you can make, of course. But here's what I'd suggest from my view. I assume you've been playing since launch, based on your forum join date. That means you're probably still enjoying it. Is there anything else coming out in the near- or mid-future that might take you away from STO? For me, there's nothing coming out until the 40K MMO in 2012.
The only reason I haven't gotten one is not quite being able to set aside the money for the whole thing in one sitting. But I'm definitely inclined to get one based on how much I've enjoyed it, as well as how much it's improved since launch, since I'm fairly confident that trend is more-or-less only going to continue over the coming months and years.
