ive done a few chars to top lvl on feds thought not alot todo on kdf and i done a few on kdf forcing myself to lvl through a grindfest but even with the weeklys that seem to hold about 20 mins of gameplay within them im finding myself losing the lack to force myself to pvp the few arenas i can find and little to make me stay on the kdf side, i hate the fed side as i bought the game for the kdf namly the nausicanns.

has anyone else hit the wall like this and what have you done to get over it as i cannot find a reason to subscribe anymore.

Well to be completely honest, pretty much everything in STO is combat. So the question is, how do you make combat interesting? For me, its difficulty and variety. So as far as difficulty goes, thats where the slider comes in. As far as variety goes, I alternate between leveling my Klingon and my new Fed. Since the Klingons dont have the kind of episodes that the Feds do, I alternate between each of the different star clusters, since they each have a different main enemy faction. So I'll fight Feds for a little bit, then go to the Rom cluster, then go the Card cluster, then the Borg/everyone cluster. That works for me, for now. I'm not a huge fan of qued PvP(I perfer open PvP), but through some PvP in there and hopefully that will keep you moderately entertained.

I just started STO a day ago and finally able to start playing the KDF. So for me everything is new and interesting. But I am sure like every other game this one can become 'boring' at some time or the other. Gotta mix it up and keep things interesting. Hopefully from what I am reading they keep putting smaller updates and new things in frequently to keep it fresh and I will continue to have a good time in this game.

Im just sick of fantasy games and I grew up on Star Trek, my dad was a huge Trek Nerd, but at least he didnt wear the costumes

I test different BoP builds while under the influence of social mixed drinks.

You know the Breen Ice Cube maker reward from this last episode.....those keep me entertained in unsuspecting locales for at least a half hour.

And hey buddy......can I get one of those mixed drinks? I'll share my freshly rolled stogie.....gaurentee'd to slow any roll.

The bottom line is that the KDF has everything the Feds have in terms of gameplay except that they have fewer story missions. Which is irrelevant at max level anyway.
(And crafting...lol).
So saying your bored because you're KDF makes no sense.

Besides, if you are KDF, PvP more.

I was ok with the weekly episodes...not thrilled, but it kept me engaged. But now that I cant figure out how to move my BO(s) to certain spot(I assume its required for this last episode), I dont even that

Nothing wrong with taking a break. I unsubbed back in March, came back for the free weekend, but left again until July. I needed that break to realize that STO does offer gameplay that's noticeably different from other MMOs (even if the gameplay I came back for was pretty simple - i.e., shooting things with big freakin' guns).

Word. I've been "away" for a couple months as well. Now I'm having fun again.

Then again, I'm rather erratic when it comes to my interests, anyways. Switching from one hobby or preferred RPG setting to another, then returning later.

Hmm, I should start drawing again ...
