Really Why? Because people will use SNB for its intended use and not simply a Diaper counter?

SNB is best used on a cruiser that has just finnished a stacking cycle... always was the best use of it.
Now a few people that unwisely used there 2 min cooldown SNB to remove a Green Glow... (That a good cruiser pilot would bait your snb with) will be forced to consider when it will put the most stuff on extended cool down. Time it wrong and your target hits a sci team and shrugs it off.

I think it is awsome that sci captains will now have to think a bit... consider when it is best to hit SNB. Perhaps it will also make those 10 buff running escorts consider rolling some of there buffs.

The RSP changes are long overdue... and really I don't see how SNB has anything at all to do with RSP accept that many people didn't use there SNB properly with the old setup.

(Side note I love to preload spikes... with beam overloads and high yeild pattens. On plenty of occasions I have circled Sci Ships waiting to get on the shield facing I want. I have FLOW right though there 90 degree arc... I don't use RSP and guess what no one EVER stops me. I circle find the weak facing and BOOM. I hope now people will hit that SNB if I get that cocky) lol

What I love about the RSP "nerf" is that it's just a cool down change. The power really hasn't changed in how it works. Just it's cool downs. Which is all that it needed in the first place. No more Escorts able to tank 5 people for 10 seconds while getting 1, maybe 2 kills depending on if it's a Sci Escort, or Not.

Also going to make watching for WHEN to SNB people more interesting on my Sci Klingon. I've been trying to think when the best moment might be lately beyond just RSP.

The Shield Changes are interesting. I find it funny that on Tribble, A Carrier has 54k Hull and with Cap x3 Shields and the 35% Shield booster they are at aprox 16kish Shields. Very nice if you ask me. O'course they didn't buff innate shield resistances. So it's not like they will be that much harder to punch through.

Now if only Transphasic Torpedoes would get a buff to shield penetration..

They might be testing how low they can go with it. I wouldn't mind a greater difference between ranks if they kept the new cooldown changes. Something like 6, 9, and 12 seconds.

I would not mind these duration times as well, but overall I think the Dev's have done a good job of HASHing out some of the problems with RSP.

I wonder if we'll see Tranphasics being used more due to the extra shield HP?

And I can see myself being killed with shields near full more than ever now on my Sci ship (Sci heal CD reductions, please?)

Big thing is the chaining is gone. Would not mind a duration change to the tribble values though

I don't think anyone here is going to argue the power of SNB.

Dalnar himself suggested a nerf to it as did almost everyone else.

The fact it's a 100% Guarantee removal of 100% of everything you have running with a 100% chance of 30 sec BO CD issues (unless you're using Sci Team)) is a bit much.

If nothing else the 30 sec BO burn needs to be cut in half at least.

SNB has been the "diaper" Captain ability for quite sometime.

I love it on my BoP it's a ganker's delight especially if you have two spamming it.

SNB and maybe a few other CC's should grant a very SHORT duration immunity or at least a diminishing return if you're spammed with it so shortly after you've been afflicted.

Pretty much MMO 101 right there.

Aside from that the changes seem very nice so far.

That should be obvious. People will complain about it. And those complaints will get the power "investigated."

Have you not been paying attention to game development since February?

The best part is ... when it does get nerfed ... there will be people posting that it totally needed to be nerfed. And now the game is better off after it's been nerfed.

This is the cycle. This is how things work.

Doubtful. There's no real bonus to them yet.

There's a duration change too.

Not everyone could afford, find or equip RSP III.

6 second duration is a monstrous change for all non-cruisers equipping it at rank I.
