# 1 Hazy ship interiors
08-21-2011, 01:37 PM
When you go into any Klingon ships you get the hazy look, its difficult to really enjoy the crew deck or anything like on a federation ship. I understand they are like that in the shows but is there a way to turn off the hazy visual effect in Klingon ships or will that just have to stay and torment me when i go to my bridge? I would love to be able to see more than a few feet in front of me when im walking down my own ships hallways. (i apologize if there is a more apropriate thread relating to this issue but i couldn't find one)

You're Klingon. Your eyesight's supposed to be better than those weak humans'. Seriously, though...maybe it's an effort to keep you on your toes while you walk around your ship? *shrug* Dunno.

As a warrior your senses need to be as acute as possible, by always working in a hazy cluttered environment you are more prepared to navigate the hazards of a battlefield engulfed in the flames and smoke burning debris and the flash of high explosives and disruptor bolts. To even think of such a comfort as being able to see clearly, if you want those kinds of fluffy luxuries join the federation and get a soft bed and carpet while your at it!

The interios are suppose to be hot and hazy. It is a Klingon ship not a federation luxury cruiser. It is bad enough they put a mattress on the bed complete with blanket and fluffy pillow.

is there a way to turn off the haze? i would like to enjoy my ship, and since a Klingons sight and senses are more acute then why am i not seeing through my characters eyes where the haze wouldnt be so bad? instead of being stuck over the shoulder with my human eyes. can someone give me a real answer?

Try to lower the gloom option in the graphics, that worked for me for a similar problem.

They should add Orion, Nausicaan and Gorn bridge packs. The current bridges simply don't fit the other species' ships.

True story.

I'll have to give this a shot when I get home as well. It makes it fairly unpleasant to actually use the bridge set :/

Who says Klingons like it hot? The Klingon home world is cool ad humid. Thats canon, soft canon anyway.. Go read "The Final Reflection" by J.M. Ford.. the fellow that invented the Kligon language.. Klingons prefer cool and humid. I would prefer a lack of mistiness in Klingon warships myself. Stupid movie mood lighting.. and its also a great way to hide the detail on a cheap set...
