I rather liked Enterprise especially the 4th season , I fact they seemed to be getting better as each season progressed. .....The only exception was the final episiode 'These are the Voyages'.....
And I agree with the OP about the theme song , I like it to
The inclusion of the MACOs ,actual Troops instead of wimpy security was a great Idea and made alot of sence. I hope we get MACOs or at least uniforms for STO
And I Loved Hoshi Sato <3

Trek is cool.
The real question is which show had the hottest chicks.
TOS- numerous dirty girls in tiny skirts and Ahura.
TNG-Troi
DS9-Dax and that dabo girl that dated/married Rom
Voyager-Seven
Enterprise-Tpol and Hoshi

Seriously though, Enterprise had a bad intro song, and way too many temporal plot lines.
I think DS9 was the best show along with the final season of Enterprise, both of those exemplify a soap operaesque plot line stretched over a multitude of episodes which allowed for a more complex story.

There's too much misplaced hate for ENT. Makes me sad. Show had awesome potential and Season 5+ would have progressed into even more interesting events that would have lead up to the creation of the United Federation.

LOL @ Opaserv - Best sexy pose I've seen on here! That kind of awesomeness is hard to match.
Well, I ended up watching up to episode 6 last night. The next ep for me to watch will be The Andorian Incident and I look forward to it. So far I've been blown away by the storyline. I absolutely feel that this is more or less how Mankind's first meager steps into the vastness of space might actually be, or at the very least it's relatively believable on some level.

I actually got an excited feeling, looking forward to what's around the next corner. Even though the audience had most likely seen all these "new" races before, that doesn't mean Starfleet had and so you're actually watching the very first contact, meeting, whatever you want to call it and it was fun to watch and at least for me it was very entertaining. After all, isn't entertainment what we seek out of this anyhow?

I know that some of you are going to be like, well, so an so was a bad actor/actress. Such and such didn't have much of a storyline and so that was bad. This lame idea and that stupid choice, etc. Let me ask you, were you even marginally entertained? If so, THEN WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU COMPLAINING ABOUT? What ever happened to suspend disbelief? You manage to do it enough to accept the far more fantastic ideas and far more ridiculous reactions to situations in the previous series.

I just don't understand why some folks can accept some things and balk at others, Star Trek always has been and always will be... dum dum dum, FICTION. Enterprise is the story of the very first beginnings of Starfleet, that's got to mean something on some level to haters.

I actually like the characters. So far I'm really learning a lot about them, their strengths, weaknesses, loves and hates. I really am enjoying the racism aspect of how Humans view Vulcans, not the negativity that comes with it but it's interesting to note how Humans have been reacting to the various species in the show. I could go on and on about this or that but I'll quit while I'm ahead.

In closing, I'm really enjoying the show thus far, it's very entertaining for me and that's what I'm after if I'm going to sit on my arse and do nothing but stare at a screen. I typically never watch t.v. but I'll admit, Enterprise has me hooked... for now.

I like how Enterprise "filled in the blanks". Where did "Class M planet" come from? Why did TOS Klingons have smooth foreheads (not just "60s makeup FX sucked")? Etc.

I also like that these are humans the viewer can relate to (not people who grew up in a quasi-utopian socialist future (and can't resist rubbing their moral superiority in other people's faces. TNG had a few episodes that really made my teeth grind)).

Enterprise show us the very first baby steps into deepspace.. The tech is inferior to just about every other warp capable species they encounter, unlike the other shows where the Feds generally have superior tech..

You have to admit that the opening narration (which I define as the "Trek spirit") fits Enterprise better than TOS/TNG.
I don't admit that cause I disagree. How, exactly, did TOS "explore" less than Enterprise? They explored new worlds, new concepts, new ideas and how the future was for humans.

What Enterprise did was loosely follow established works (VERY LOOSELY) and make up lots of stuff that is never mentioned again in Trek. While I liked it as a show, it was not nearly as good as TNG or TOS.

Lastly, i my opinion, Voyager was total garbage. Poor acting, bad setting, and abysmal storylines where very episode they are brought to the brink of hell and saved by ridiculous technobabble.

Not total garbage. The Idea of a holographic doctor was quite good and I loved his charracter. 7of 9 was very intellegent and would make a great officer in any department. And the Intrepid class starship (being a fan of the orginal series) I found far more believable then that Galaxcy Albatross. Other then that though I agree with you

You are correct, the Doctor was an excellent character (and actor). I wasn't a big 7 of 9 fan but she certainly was one of the better character. Though I liked the Intrepid design, I prefer the Galaxy design.

As ive said in other threads, i like Ent but its not my favourite series.

Season 1 was ok, season 2 started well, not too good in the middle but finished very strong. season 3 was very good and i liked the xindi arc witn the final 6-8 eps being brilliant, and season 4 become the show it should have been all the way through. it deserved a fifth season and im gutted we never got it.

I do hate that people complain about the title music, as if that is somehow a valid complaint. 50% of the time when some says they dont like the show, the first thing they mention is the music. thats just a silly complaint.

The main problems for me is as much as i love time travel, they never planned it out and admitted they made it up as they went along and it was such a big part of the show. you cant do that with time travel and expect it to make sense. if you dont look at it too deeply its fine, but if your like me, you like to really work things out it never adds up.

I also just never got attached to the characters as i did in the other shows. there was also a lack of humour compared to the others which made it seam less fun.

so whilst i thought Ent was a good show, i still think its weaker than the others. if it had managed all 7 seasons i might have thought differently. if you knock the last 3 seasons of tng, voyager and ds9 off then it would compare more favourable.

i may have to start re-watching Ent to re-evaluate it.

Yep. I remember a Voyager episode where they encountered these aliens who still performed executions of violent criminals, and Janeway had a coniption fit over it. Maybe it's cause I'm from Texas where we have an express lane set up for those people, but that episode really irked me.

On the topic of ENT, I loved it. It's actually my favorite out of all of them. Followed by TNG, DS9, TOS, and VOY (not just cause the above mentioned issue).
