The only thing I've gotten from B-Tran and B-Tran (Vice Admiral) "Aid the Planet" missions is the Astrometrics Console (which you can't even Exchange any more, there are so many) and twice I got Rare Holomatrix diodes.

I've been RA / VA for a month or month and a half, amybe a little longer. Seriously, this is the only loot I ever get, which doesn't even cover the cost of replicating the stuff I send down to the planet.

And Very Rares? Forget it. They don't exist. If I ever found one, I'd likely have a massive coronary.

A few months back, I got a purple Mk XI deflector.
Admittedly it was totally useless to me but I sold it on the Exchange for a nice price.
One that compensated for commodities from here till the next...decade?
So between all the lame rewards it is possible to receive a very good one once in
a while.
I just got it as well...plan to sell it as well.

I wait until I get 8-10 of those and then open them all at once, I have always gotten 1 purple, 1-2 blues and rest greens. Biofunction Monitors (is that what they are called? The ones that aid in crew survival/recovery time) sell really well on the exchange. I'll admit that green Holomatrix consoles are the "wah-waaahhhh' reward (reminds me of the donkey on "Let's Make a Deal"), like getting Synthale as a drop on an Elite ground mission.

Greetings.

The last seven times I got an "Aid the Planet" mission as Vice Admiral in the B'Tran Nebula on Elite difficulty, the reward consisted of the following item:

Console - Science - Astrometric Imaging Scanner MK XI. Uncommon. + 16 Astrometrics.

Do note that this particular mission appears rather infrequently, so these seven consoles were acquired during weeks of play time.

I feel compelled to question the variation of the rewards involved. Or the lack of variation as it were.

The appearance of the above console create a certain lack of excitement, with regard to the aforementioned mission type.

I just got a resilient mk x [cap]x3 shield array from an aid the planet. It's currently sitting in my bank. They do exist, its just rare.
