# 1 Tachyon Beam

I was watching VOY: "Dreadnought" last night, and I noticed something. Torres uses a tachyon beam on the Cardassian warhead to destroy the power core, and the beam is green.

After reviewing the article about tachyons on Memory Alpha, I realized the developers may have been thinking of an inverse tachyon pulse, when they settled on the in-game appearance, as seen here from TNG: "All Good Things..."

I'm not saying that I'd stop playing if the beam color remains blue, but just thinking of the canonocity of the skill. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I believe you're thinking of tetryons. The article for Insurrection at Memory doesn't mention anything about tachyons. http://memory-alpha.org/wiki/Star_Tr...ion#References

"Keep firing Tachyon bursts into the shields"...blue, somewhat like Quantum torps only lighter blue.

"The ship suddenly shakes as the Cousteau flies toward it, firing harmless tachyon bursts."

Like I stated above, in "All Good Things...", they used an inverse tachyon pulse.
