I am not sure, but with the ability to use Eject Warp Plasma, Charged Particle Burst and Photonic Shockwave, the Nebula should also be an ideal weapon against Klingon Carriers and their pets - and any other Klingon ships.

Of course, a Nebula loaded out with such a build needs some support. If only Starfleet had some kind of tough, large and well-armed vessel with excellent support capabilties...
Tactical captain skills boast ALL damage including sci skills. A sci hitting a gravity well is annoying. A tactical with alpha go down fighting and tac fleet running is very painful... all the carrier spam goes pop.
TBR with the same buffs running.. oh my and you throw your FOMM on the main target load beta 1 or delta 1... I have used to to evasive push a carrier to death... 50k dmg in 4-5 secodns. Alpha makes the TBR pulses crit LOL I have hit 9k pulse crits. But I won't argue it isn't the most versatil combo... but it is funner and much more effective then you would think.

Hmm. You are right that there are certain "synergies" I didn't think of, but I am not all that impressed by the damage done by powers. And the shield drain from CPB and TB is not affected (it's not damage).

That said... "+Damage Strength" also leads for some odd problem with Cryptic's engine to improve hull resistances and the like, IIRC. So if you can get that and combine it with PH and HE...

I am new to the game and pvp in general but I think I have made a good showing in my short time.

Personally, I have always loved the idea of the Peregrine from various DS9 episodes. It is a small, capable ship similar to a runabout. Perhaps this could be the fed balance, the squadron.

Essentially you have a single main ship, with limited officer spacing that can summon two wing-men. The powers of these wing-men would be based on what kind of officer you place in them. In pvp, you would use the same commands as on the ground. They can assist a fellow ship, by attacking targets on top of it, or by assisting the lead fighter.

Its just an idea, but it would kind of even the pvp fight without giving the federation a carrier.
