You cannot place individual lights. However, you can change the overall lighting. We will add more fine-grained controls later.

You can choose enemy groups to spawn, yes. You can also customize their individual ship or character costumes or choose them from a library of costumes.

So just for clarification, we can't do timers on npcs, can we have a mission in which you have to fly/run through a series of points before a timer runs out?

Not currently. There is only a series of interaction-based objectives, and you cannot fail an objective.
