You cannot remove skill or teamwork from the game. There will always be people that are better then you. And even people you can never hope to exceed because you just lack the devotion. If you'd remove skill or teamwork from the game - would even PuGing be fun? If it was irrelevant what you did, you have a 50:50 chance to win?

If we had some kind of PvP "ladder" system that could influence how players are teamed up in the Queues, maybe we could ensure that mostly equally-skilled players play together. But - is the PvP population big enough for that? Can Cryptic actually find a PvP ladder system that "works"? (THeir way of tracking Fleet Action participation and winners suck for that.) Maybe. It could be a start.

BTW: There is a way for "casual PvP" - just invite some of your friends to a PvP challenge. That way you can ensure you do't have to play with people that you know are way better at you. Or is that not "casual" enough?

Complaining that something is overpowered when you yourself admit that you don't have the time to do the nerdy things that make one better is, in my opinion, lazy. I don't mean any offense and I have limited experience with you in game so I don't have any valuable insight into you or your play style. What I do have are your threads and posts here. Those are you words quoted repeatedly across this thread, not mine.

Any company that designs a game to the lowest common denominator is just going to make more and more lazy players. Never mind the fact that there will always be someone more driven to perform better than anyone else. How do you balance for that? Remove the people who play hard and play to win?

isnt that coming up in a ToS change? or are cryptic just going to nerf the ***** out of everything until all the "geeks"(i [prefer to call myself "enthusiast") quit from the game?

i know i wont be quitting, what with my lifers sub and all, and i will be a sad panda if they do end up continuing to not cater to the more enthusiastic players, and more the complainers

Its already the most used escort in the game, a BC would just mean the rest of the escort choices would most likely wither away from neglect.

4] would having a 3 way pvp system work for all? FvR, KvR, FvK the battle vs cloaks and now feds have 2 teams to constantly worry over cloak's-n-alphas??
I have no idea, but I imagine that we will have FvR,KvR matches now in the que UI as well - with no 3ways availible.

6] When open system/sector pvp comes along is TSI and OOV going to dominate as groups, fleets or or lone wolf pugging?
I can't speak to those particular fleets , but yes the chance of a single fleet dominating an open pvp zone will be possible.

Clowns are fun!

Have to agree on this one. Clearly @rb74 is NOT backpedalling like mad while taking out of his..... mouth.

Ah, but maybe, just maybe we are missing the golden lining to having all OP/Unbalanced things changed to be obtainible by all players.
Would it not allow one time to play another MMO if STO became as easy as pushing a button to win?
Think of the free time one would have in your day if combat in STO was reduced to a simple " I win" choice.
One could finish that novel, mow the grass, wash the dogs, the list is near endless.:p

Ya, know. I still die when I play as my Klink, getting used to being a Tac in a BoP. I even got healed in a PUG yesterday as a Klingon. Gee imagine that. Too bad I can't get Era or Faith to play a klink. :p

That Geek post was FUNNY!! LOL Thanks

I bless this thread!

I think I just vomited a little in my mouth

I rarely have enough time to log in every other day, I have that much stuff going on. I would never find the two and a half months required to level up a klink character. And the color scheme, oh my god the color scheme (makes me gag).
