I tried this new mission on advanced with my engineer and I too will no longer play ground missions on advanced. This ridiculousness of getting picked up and the life sucked out of you in a matter of a few seconds is just unbelievable. As a matter of fact a lot of the ground missions are like that now with one hit kills(B-Tran cluster). I want to be challenged not waste my time and my real life. I have not yet completed the mission I had to leave before I threw my laptop on the ground and stomped on it. So now since I really can't just set the ground missions on normal I have to play the space missions on normal, which are beyond easy. This company is really having problems with balancing, big time. You better get it straight before it's too late.

What anti-devidian gun????
If you keep a hypo at the ready the moment you get picked up pop it that should break the hold and keep you from taking much damage. There's also dampener control panels inside the last room to make the Devidians weaker in the last battle. It's just a question of using tactics and having your BOs engage while you go and throw the switches.

The "Anti-Devidian" weapon is the Proton rifle you should have received as a reward at the end of the last episode "Spin the Wheel".

If you haven't been reading hints from the Devs, you wouldn't necessarily realize that the weapon is most effective when the Devidian target is phase-shifted, which you can figure out from the visual cues.

This means that you shouldn't rely only on the proton weapon. Damage output will require you to switch back and forth between weapons. The problem I had was correctly timing those weapon switches to the right targets. It's challenging, which is a good thing.

If the Triolic Tribble did me any good, I didn't feel it. My RA got nuked three times before he was able to complete that last room. I wasn't able to take advantage of completing the Science objectives because I had no idea how to trigger the effect.

The flashlight is a cool idea, as is the darkened environment. I couldn't get the flashlight to work for me at the time and had to suffer decreased performance so I could bump up some of the graphics settings to see anything.

Despite all of the minor annoyances, though, I really thought this was a great mission.

This mission was so awesome that I fear it was the best of the whole series.
I mean seriously how could they top this atmosphere? The dark, empty, collapsing station, the spiders (hell yeah, at last a non-antropomorph enemy!), the lurking "ghosts", the insane hologram, the scary sounds. Gives me shivers. Best episode ever! ^_^

OK. I went back and tried this on normal. Once again the balancing is way off. I breezed through the whole board, did the optional missions, then the final battle. It got to the point where I wished my BOs would die. The only real help they gave was giving more life to the enemies. So after breezing through with barely a scratch suddenly now I'm dieing over and over. Bad Balancing. I did finish it on normal and at least some of my BOs were alive to revive me on the spot so I did not have to go through the maze over and over like on advanced.

Also once again issues with the crew not keeping up and having to go back and get them. I thought this issue was fixed!!!!

I couldn't get through the door to find any switches. Most of the battle was in the hallway outside the room.
One of the BO tells you to use the proton rifle which I realized is what is meant by "anti-devidian gun" someone posted. I have been using that rifle since I got it, very strong.

I hope Cryptic isn't thinking that people who use the advanced or elite settings are maxed out with purple equipment because that is not the case, here anyway. Just looking for a little challenge.

I loved this mission. One of the best yet. Great voice work (I love the difference voices). Its a different experience every time. I've gotten to where I'm quite comfortable doing the mission now, but I must say it really is a great one. Keep up the good work guys! I think Episodic Content is a game-changer for the industry.

I finally finished this last night and like the whole concept behind it. So many movie homage from Aliens, to the thing and any 50's B movies made the mission have that edge on your seat feeling. Nothing like walking into a room...have it a dozen or so bad guy flash by you and have you go oh S*it.

It was nice to have (taticial officer here) the ability Security Escort to have two extra officers in the major engagement with the Devidians. Loved the gun and took me a moment to time time my shots to their time shift phasing.

Great experience, great mission, lots of creepness.Bravo.

There were simply too many enemies at the end, and the respawn point on the final map makes completing this mission, by yourself, with a generator-kitted engineer on advanced nearly impossible. I'm dropping the difficulty and going to ESD just to heal up before I finish it.

And triolic tribbles are absolutely worthless
I am having the same exact same problem - VA Engineer on Advanced and I keeping on the End Boss.

When you get to the last room use your BOs to draw out the bosses and then run inside and click the consoles in there. That will dampen the conntection the Devidians have to the time portal. That will make things a little easier. Also remember to pop a hypo the moment you get held. That will break the hold and keep you from getting killed that way.

I never entered the final room until all the enemies were dead. Just stay out in the hallway and lure them out...you can string them out by blocking some inside the room with a plasma grenade.

You can also get some out and killed while the others stay in fighting the turrets (if you are tac and activated the defenses)
