# 1 New PVP Battlegrounds

Basically we need capture the flag style game for ground and space. Plus one to kill the other sides capital ship or Commander. Also a strategy PVP match with the use of away teams. The ones where you just go in and just and kill so many enemies bore me. I like to have objectives and kill the enemy. Make a capture the flag type mini game but it would be capture a very valuable resource.

The klingon's and Federation each have set up a mining base on opposite sides of a asteroid field. That you could fly above or below to avoid or fly through for cover with the resources. With the asteroid field being mirrored so it's the same for both sides.

What you would have to do is knock down the shields of the base and beam up the resources. Then try and take it back to your base.

The opposing side could take it from you by destroying your ship and beaming the cargo on their ship. They would have to take it back to their base or it could be took from them. If they got it back to their base it would reset. They would not be rewarded a capture for returning their resource.

The ship would glow with the resource and the radiation from the cargo would make cloaking impossible for the ship carrying it.

If you capture the resource there would be like a minute cool down. The bases would have got their shields back up and more resources are ready to try and be taken.

First side to capture three wins.

The other battle ground would be NPC Klingon and Federation fleets are engaging in battle. Each side's objective is to destroy the other sides capital ship. There would be three battle ships that most be destroyed first. So you couldn't just fly to the capital ship and destroy it.

They are using extend shields to protect the capital ship. So five ships could destroy each battleship and the capital ship so five could play defense if they wanted. They would be attacking you and you would have to defend some groups of smaller ships.

There would be a fifteen minute timer on each game so they would go on forever. At the end of the fifteen minutes if none of the battleships are destroyed it's a draw each side gets the same amount of badges/honor/XP as a loss.

If one side destroyed two of the battleships at the end of the fifteen minutes their fleet would destroy the other fleet. Giving them a win with 25% more rewards than a loss.

If your team destroys the battleship and the capital ship before the time expires. You are rewarded bonus twice the amount of a loss.

The same could be done for ground combat also. You would run the resources to your base.

Is stead of killing a capital and battleships on the ground you destroy three shield generator bases with NPC defenders and break through the bases shields then kill the commander.

The only saving grace of that map is that its typically a short encounter.

I always thought kerrat would have been better if it were more like a race. The big Borg cubes should be heavily damaged and no real threat the spheres should be the only real defense. Why would fully healed Borg cubes be in the repair yard?

Each side race to complete the objectives and only two Borg cubes were able to be repaired. Before the repair shipe were destroyed. Each side get a full health Borg cube to destroy at the end. First one to destroy the Cube wins. You could try and stop opposing side if you wanted. Still keep the game short like it is now.

This is an interesting idea.

I was thinking of T6 fleeet ship battles where the ground portion takes out the ship's shields, exposing the dense hull to attacks by players.

EPIC battlegrounds always get a +1 from me.

I have talked about that also. I really want to see ground and space put together. It would be so epic to carry a team of five players and beam them some where to knock shields down or board an enemy ship to capture engineering or the bridge maybe both.

Back in open beta the Borg open PVP planet on the Klingon side was empty with no Borg NPC's and you could beam down and fight other players with your away team and that was really fun. In one fight it was really chaotic there had to be almost ten of us with all of our away teams.

This could be an answer to getting ground and space together in a another battlefield. In the poll they took just after launch 18% liked ground better than space. So you could have two players to take their away teams to board the enemy station or ship out of a ten man group.

You could have a space station and a capital ship fighting. Each would have automated turrets and torpedoes banks firing at each other. Eventually if allowed to the ship and station will destroy each other. There would be a fifteen or twenty minute time limit on the event. If no guns and turrets were destroyed they will destroy each other and the match would be a draw. Both sides would get the rewards of a loss.

What the ships would have to do while they fight each other as well. Is to take out the turrets and launchers to slow them from destroying each other. Or if one side took out all the guns and protected theirs they ship or station could be destroyed this way also. After a hole in one section the shields are knocked down the two players who wanted to do the ground portion can choose to beam down from their ships. With control of their away teams.

What the away teams would do would be to capture the bridge and engineering before the other side does.
If one side gets a hole knocked in the shields before the other side they would defend. While their teams ships try and knock a hole in the shields. Which they could choose to beam over and try and take the other ship.

After you captured engineering where you would beam down first. NPC's from your faction would beam down to guard and the opposing team could try and retake it after you moved on to the bridge. The NPC's would be the same classes and strength as the enemies who were guarding it at the start. This would give several options for different strategies to win. Both sides could go all offence or one side could play defense. Or one player would defend while one went offence.

You could even make an option to arm a bomb in engineering to destroy the ship or station after engineering was captured if you didn't want to try and capture the ship by taking the bridge. Or their isn't enough time left to capture it. It would take half the time to capture a node. It would take three minute to capture a node and one minute thirty seconds to arm the bomb.

Destroying the ship/station would give less reward than capturing it by take both sections of the ship.

I really want to see a battle ground we can use our away teams.

Or even use our away teams in ground fleet actions until more players arrive. It could remove one away team member of the last person to enter with their bridge crew. For every new player who entered the instance.

Or just allow five players to do a ground fleet action with their away teams. This could help fix fleet actions also. You would need as many players and this would be fun.

Why not turn the cargo bay of Drozana into a PvP map? Ground mission; five on five. It's small, like a Halo map, so there is no place to hide or farm. You fight or you are killed. You play to 100 team kills or 50 individual kills (whichever happens first). No pre-teaming. It takes ten people and randomly assigns them to teams.

I always thought making DS9 a PVP battle ground map would be great because of all the place to hide and ambush players. Or let the Klingons defend shield console and let us try and take it back. They would replace NPC Cardassians and we would have to retake it just like the fleet action.
