Does anyone know if Cryptic has any plans to provide XML data for STO Captains/Fleets similar to what Blizzard has done with WoW (see WoW Armory)?

It would be nice to set up a script to maintain a fleet roster and could open numerous other opportunities.

RSS/XML feeds were requested back when the database was released, but nothing ever came of it.

I hear the guy responsible was too busy regrinding his Lieutenant to have time to implement the suggestions.

Can't even hack together an effective screen scraper at the moment, as some of the interesting information is returned graphically without title or alt tags.

Hopefully they improve the spam mail before expanding the access to the Captain's data otherwise it just hands a free list over to the gold farmers to send spam too.

We've already got a free list - just check out autocomplete when searching forum posts by User Name.

It is already pretty easy to mine a list of names with the existing pages. It's the other data that is hard to get to.

When can we have an option to restrict what is and isn't available on our listings, and the option to hide them completely?

I, for one do not like social networking sites, don't participate in them and think throwing all your information out there for anyone to see is foolish and only inviting breaches of security.
