Yes they can and that is what war is all about. Do you honestly think our current stealth aircraft are 100 percent not seen by the enemy? Again...war is about development and counters to new things. Only an idiot government would sit by and passively watch his enemy surpass his country in tech.
So go ahead. Play that game with me because I am well prepared.
The largest radar image given off by any of our (US) stealth planes is the size of a sparrow.
What you should consider is any technolgy that the military has released into public knowledge is old by thier own standards and newer, better technology is being tweaked even as the "new" to us the public is unvieled. Most of our stealth planes are old by the Airforce timeline.
Since Cryptic has decided to give the Klinks their BOP that can fire torps while cloaked, cryptic should balance this out with a Fed Torpedo that can lock on and find a cloaked BOP as shown in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.
This is absolutely canon and can not be denied.
Actually it doesnt fire while cloaked it uncloaks for 3 seconds and fires and while its uncloaked for those 3
seconds it has no shields so really how OP is that cause if your quick enough you can pop it eailsly.
Not argueing that such a torpedo would be and is canon. I was trying to quell the rising belief that a cloaked BoP able to fire while remaining cloaked is not nearly the OP ship that some would think and for the record, using certain abilities in it can expose you shieldess from cloak for up to 15 seconds. Most KDF are finding it to be a deathtrap more than anything else.
I agree with you it is not OP. But I am a proponent that if it is canon it should be implemented.
Oh and as a side note...some one said Rick Berman said something about exhaust...Don't listen to Berman...that MORON nearly wrecked Star Trek.

I said Rick Sternbach, the technical consultant and one of the main ship designers on the Star Trek series. You say the Tachyon Detection Grid is limited, well so is the version of the cloak that the BoP got, so it does balance out. I'm sorry you can't except it, but you are just going to have to make do, aren't you.
Now that I think about it lets have but it must have a 10km range if no ships cloaked within that range
the torp flies into space and it should also target friendly ships in that range so if no enemys in range
and a teammate is thats cloaked he gets hit.
And I think both factions should have access to it because feds have cloaked ships too and you cant
tell me the klingons would no come up with a torp that could do the same.

Russia has been working on tech that can see stealth craft through radar Triangulation. The point is war is a game of upping the ante. The newer tech we are developing is designed to counter newer detection techniques. It is simply the progression of technology.
The idea that many have here is that the federation is not war like and therefore would not develop weapons of war or other tech while the klings excel in war is a false notion. A nation at war will compete even if it is a nation of peace.
Unless of course the federation president is Mahatma Gandhi.

I agree. Both sides should have access to the tracking Torpedo. ...I fly a Defiant R btw. But...I have to tell you, Klingons by themselves are pretty stupid...it would have be one of the other races who develop it for them.

Nope. I am sighting a very canon part of trek. And just because Rick said something it is not canon.
