Thanks for all the tips. I knew I could use the mouse for flying but never had used it before and it didn't occur to me. I used that mixed with the half impulse, as suggested, and got through all the rings in a couple of tries. So much easier than using the WASD.
started trying to steer with mouse getting closer i think itll take me some practice im not used to this steering method i have heard of it before but havent done it that way since i first started and learned to control with keyboard it made more sense til now now i have to learn the right way
It's not just this mission that's a disappointment, the whole Devidian series wasn't nearly as good as the Breen episodes that preceded it.
Too many pointless timesink puzzles. Seriously, is there someone in management with a spreadsheet that has to be checked that a mission has a puzzle in it no matter how lame it is? DId someone get a write-up because there weren't enough puzzles in the Breen series?
The last puzzle with the Drinkypoos just caps it. It's like a horrible date with a Delta Delta Delta except she really looks like a klingon. I didn't know if I wanted to shoot her or myself.
Please take a hard look at this series and learn from the mistakes.
I too am frustrated w/ all the ppl saying how "easy" this is. Has it ever occured to folks out there that not all of us have top notch hand-eye coordination or are from Top Gun or Nascar? Needless to say, I had to bribe someone else more talented to jump through the hoops just so I could go back in time. Thank you Cryptic for making another Kobayashi-Maru-esque no win scenario for us average joes. I was starting to think you lost your touch since the first part of Khitomer Accord.
I don't understand how everyone seems to be struggling on the rings. I would guess I would have one of the worst connections on this game (I live in Western Australia and the Primary internet line is via an undersea optic cable on the east coast of the country) and I'm even using a laptop so not exactly the most powerful system
One thing you might try is lowering your graphics settings, mine had defaulted to the highest settings for some reason. Game runs so much better when it's set up right
Ok some how i passed it, at first i was using a cruiser for a few hours and i managed to get to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd rings didn't make the 4th ring but managed to make the 5th or vice versa and finally gave up and went back to earth to get a damn escort and went back to try it and managed to pass all the rings on the first try with my escort at full impulse.
