i think kilawapaths comments are good hearted save for the fb bashing. as usual i dont see why people (muted or mutee) get so hot and bothered over in game text arguments about the game or what not. at the end of the day we would all do well to get past petty squabbles and open the game up to those who are willign and able to pvp

and thats why there are only 3 people muted on that channel, and before friday there was only one person muted. But I will not discuss moderation any further.

That seems a little harsh.
I dont know what has gone on to create your anger Kila but it can't be that bad.

Faithborn seems OK to me. Sure hes a little full of himself sometimes but hell who isnt.
Most people that have opinions can be thought of as full of themselves at times. Especially if we dont agree with something.

As for the topic what would I do to improve pvp.

1. Give escorts built in Armor.
2. Create a more advanced queing system so we can have both team and pug pvp.
3. Try and educate new players in what it takes to do decent in pvp so they don't quite before they reach a decent place in the learning curve.
4. When I play pvp I always say thanks for the battle because they are not always good games and it can be seen as arrogant even though most who say gg are just trying to be polite.

I think that its difficult to determine how to improve pvp play. I play a lot of F vs K as a Fed Eng and although I've learned enough from practicing and competing to hold my own in a fight (and when to run it seems that without team work the Fed team cannot almost never win against a group of Klingons. On the other hand, it seems that the Klingons need little organisation to win, and if they do organise themselves a little, it becomes a Fed slaughter.

Now seeing as most players in PvP are pugs, does a winning condition being teamwork for the Feds seem appropriate? I'm not too sure.

It's also noteworthy to mention the power of all the Klingon ships, particularly that they can arm themselves with cannons. I've seen some fights where the Klingons just sit and turn slowly or follow their targets like a shooting gallery.

Despite all this, its nice to see that most players are sports and will give a GG after a fight. Even after a 0-15 match.

Congratulations, Faithborn, you came up with a Stickied post for healing that has helped many in the game become better at healing in a starship. And oh, congratulations, you even became a moderator of the Organized PVP Channel. How ever, you've become a complete jackass since then. You lately have been doing everything from Permamuting players just for quoting what 1 person says in Organized PVP, to thinking your the voice of all PVPers in the game!
And how have you contributed to STO pvp? By complaining about the people who have contributed? Quoting players that have been specifically muted? Everyone who has been muted on OPVP was was muted for a very good reason. The funny thing is, the organized pvp channel is filled with pvpers from all walks of life and parts of the game, yet you never stopped to think about why only 3 people were muted and what they share in common that caused them to be muted.

And just FYI, faithborn and I have very different views on PVP, but you don't see him banning me, demoting me, or kicking me off the channel.

Also, you should be able to still see the OPVP chat, pay attention to what's going on and how people talk to each other. I won't even bother giving you a clue since it seems to be pointless since you wouldn't be able to figure it out. All members and I emphasize, "ALL MEMBERS" of the Organized PVP channel say for the few that have been banned have respect for each other, and all that respect is well earned and well deserved. When someone comes into the channel, demanding respect, stepping over people, and flaunting their ego all over the place, don't expect to receive a kind welcome or a happy crowd.

P.S. I have also attempted to petition to help some certain people to get unbanned, but if you say no to the suggestions I give such as "Tune down the aggression a little bit", then there is no way I can help you get unbanned.

Hmmm today I will.....

1: Not smack talk.

2: Stay in or around the centre of the map.

4: Say gg to everyone.

6: Provide much needed toilet humour to my fleetmates.

5: Learn to count.

I personally improve STO every day through the use of entertainingly appropriate keywords:
A**clown
F***face
C***gobbler
B****y
***dumpster
etc

Other things to do:

1. Talk smack -- its fun
2. Never say GG because usually its not... keep it real: tell them they suck
3. Don't just kill the enemy, humiliate them. They need a wake up call, and if you've ever been beat badly, this is a good way to take it out on noobs.
4. Taunt the enemy. Phychological warfare is the neverending battleground.
5. Remind anyone that opposes you that they are wrong. Because they are.
6. Stay tight with your own group. It's you (your group) against the universe. Have fun with it.

Come to our vent for a demonstration.
