# 1 Awesome Experience in PUG PvP
11-16-2010, 09:17 AM
I am a science office who flies an escort, and I am not particularly good at PvP, but I do give the best effort that I can. I try not to make the complete boneheaded mistakes, but i tend to be a bit "squishier" than I would like to be.

Last night, I got teamed with an engineer in a star cruiser who made it his personal mission to keep us alive. It was amazing. That little escort was indestructible even under combined fire. I have never played with anyone who could heal like that.

I don;t know if it is against Forum policies to call out guys by name, so I won't, but to the engineer last night. I Salute you, and I hope to fight with you again.

Glad you found a fun pug.. They can be far and few between at times, but they do exist.
Escorts can definitely have their effectiveness upped a ton just by being allowed to focus on DPS rather than break off earlier on due to their damage intake, when paired with a good cruiser healer.

As for using player names on the forums, I believe it is okay to use names when in a good context, just not allowed if you are having issues with that person in a negative way.

I was in a PuG last night and at the end about 3 people at once said "again?" in group chat. That made me smile.

It really is amazing how a little bit of teamwork can drastically change the feel of a game.

This. If only more would try it and notice how life changing this can be. Can't say often enough how sweet it is to meet scoober steve or mister bob and stick together. Multiplies the fun.

And Era is indeed op'ed. It's not klingons, nor carriers. But Era needs nerfing.. a lot actually!

A better busines approach for Cryptic would be to clone Era and make him available for the cheap price of 9,000 C Store points to everyone.

It's not even game-changing equipmet. After all, Era is human.

I assume.

Sounds like fun I just wish more cruiser pilots actually healed rather then just keeping them selves alive and losing the game.

I was in a match last night on my Klingon BoP and it was one of those boring 15/0 arena battles. One of the feds complained so I sent him a tell and gave him some friendly advice on how they could have improved their performance. He turned out to be decent guy that just didn't have the experience in game to have learned many of the lessons one must learn to do well in pvp.

My point is simply help your fellow players both in battle and out and we will all have more fun in game.

Ruh roh scooby, the feds are starting to get organized and support/coordinate with each other
If it weren't for those meddling cruisers, our plan for domination of the alpha quadrant would've been completed by now!

As a klingon it is my life long ambition to go frolic on the sands of Fed planet Risa with my cpt picard speedo! Feds, stop working together so we can conquer you and thus make my dream come true!

To err is human
Era is not err, nor does he err
Therefore, era is not human
