OK - this might be a dumb question but I am trying to purchase the federation dreadnaught in the C-store, but every time I click "purchase" I get a message saying "Unable to complete transaction: that item cannot currently be purchased."

It does this when I try and purchase the TOS Constitution as well.

I checked and I do have a free ship slot. What am I doing wrong?

Hmm. Might have to do with rank, perhaps? For the Dreadnaught, at least. O: No clue why it wouldn't be letting you purchase the TOS Connie, unless you've already bought it and just need to claim it.

I am a rear admiral, lower half 4. Thought the level restriction was rear admiral

You have all the slots for ships taken up. You got to have a empty spot for it. So if you got your ships maxed out delete one should work.

That's not it either, I made sure to delete a ship before trying to buy. It shows I have an empty ship slot.

I know there was a bug for a while where you couldn't buy a ship if your inventory was full. you can also try another toon.

Does purchasing a Ship from the C-store unlock it for all Fed or KDF characters respectively, or only those at RA or BG? For example, if I purchase the Excelsior refit, it will be available for my 3 VAs, but will it be available for my Lt. Cmd once that toon hits RA5 (or whatever rank it was) sometime in the future?

Buying it unlocks it for all current and future Faction characters. So yes, your 3 VAs can use the Excelsior and any other Federation character that gets to Admiral in the future will also get the T5 ship to use for free.

I know some of these might sound really obvious but you never know;

do you have enough points to buy it.

trying logging out and back in or changing instances. you may have deleted the slot but the server might not have quite recognised it until you change maps.

are you buying it with a fed character, as a klink might not work.

also some of the ships would go into your inventory (ie item inventory for weapons and hypos and stuff), does that have at least one space.

if still no, then i have no idea. might be GM ticket time.

Here's the only things I know about the c-store.

1: Characters below the rank of a ship can't buy the ship, so characters below Rear Admiral can't buy the Excelsior or Nebula and characters below Vice Admiral can't buy the Galaxy, Defiant, or Intrepid refits.

2: Ships can't be purchased if your ship inventory on the character is full. If you have 8 ships the game won't let you buy another ship until you delete one or purchase more ship slots.

3: Opposing Factions can't buy items for the other. Feds can't buy c-store Klink items and Klinks can't buy c-store Fed items.

4: You must have enough Cryptic Points to complete the purchase.

If all those criteria are met and you still can't buy the item then you need to submit a bug ticket in-game to try and get the problem fixed.
