well thats why you stay 10k out of range and you time it out running a carrier is not rocket science. i stoped running them because it was insanely easy to stay alive and put out fighters. this was before the carrier patach and i know i could do the same now.

In truth they *really* were not paying attention to let the carrier get away with that. The only 'awful' thing I see how people can jut sit there and ignore that big fat threat... I mean every launch they can see where the carrier is until the MES goes back up when Red Alert is over and that is more than enough time to go engage the carrier.

I guess too many players get 'target focused' and stop looking around to actually see where all the extra pew pew is coming from

the most stupid thing in sto, even compared to the TSS3 days, was fighitgh in a 4v4, vs 3 carrier.

the most stupid thing i ever saw and my team wasnt that bad either. carriers are for noob that need the computer to help them killing people, in an arena match, doing pvevp is stupid

you always have the carrier *** that will state : kill them with aoe abilities, like he knows what hes talkign about. the thign is, even if you kill them, they respawn almost instant, if they are all using their brain to heal and stay alive, with some other dmg class, its unrealistic, those npc flying around, plus the targetting? lol nice joke

Charming. As a long term carrier pilot from beta i take offense to that.

When you fire a missile do you control it manually? When you fire a phaser do you aim it yourself? Oh.. no? Well guess what, you must be a noob who needs help from the computer to kill things as well then.

First off, you have to be more specific on the Pets you are refering to. Because each pet is different.

Fragile Pet class:
To'duj
Kar'Fi Fighters
Siphon Pods
Shield drones
Intercepters (Not Carrier, but deserves to be placed here)
Hull Repair Drone (Not Carrier, but deserves to be placed here)

Powers that can kill the Fragile class:

Tricobolt Mine, Tricobolt Torpedo, Eject Warp Plasma, Fire at Will (And a good Weapon power Performance may vary), Torpedo Spread (Not as effective, but useful), Mine Deployment Patterns (Quantum and Plasma Mines produce best results in damage provided they are of the highest Mark, IE Mk XI or XII for VA), Gravity well 3 fully speced + Consoles, Photonic Shockwave (Not often, but can stun/destroy pets over time), High Yield + Plasma Torpedo, Tractor Repulsors

More durable pet class:
Bird of Prey
Kar'Fi Frigate

Powers that can kill the Durables:

Tricobolt Mine, Tricobolt Torpedo, Eject Warp Plasma, Fire at Will (Maybe 2 or 3), High Yield + Plasma Torpedo, Photonic Shockwave (Not often, but can stun/destroy pets over time), Gravity well 3 fully speced + Consoles + Deflector, Tractor Repulsors

You can also put the healer on Pet clean up patrol when not fireing on a target.

As you can see, there are ways to kill pets. Even from multiple Carriers. It's not my fault if you don't use them. And there's of course one other way to kill all forms of pets:

KILL THE CARRIER via FOCUS FIRE. Bring a SNB along to make them die even faster.
