Oh gods no.

I suggest we instead get more emblems from PvPing:

- PARTICIPATE in 3 PvPs: down to 1 emblem from the current 3.
- WIN 3 Arenas - 3 emblems
- Win 3 Arenas vs Klingons, except if you are in TSI: - 5 emblems :p
- Ditto for C&H, but increase rewards slightly because they take longer

So if they add the emblem to the C-Store what is next? The item set they are talking about? The Borg stuff?
I mean if they add the emblem because it's boring to work for them other people while come here and ask for these to be added too... Next thing you while know, it will a wallet game...

No please... I do not want a game where the bigger wallet win

No, people should not be able to buy their way to an advantage.
Don't get me started on c-store only ships lol.

I would rather they just slash the prices by say 7 points on all the emblem items and call it a day.
Emblem gear is too pricey for such little benefit.

Also, I think they should do something akin to what Guild Wars does and have bonus emblem weekends where each kill has say a 5 percent chance to drop one emblem and they could also do weekend discounts ever so often and slash the prices on emblem gear say every other weekend by knocking all emblem gear down by 7 points off each item just for that weekend.

Weekend specials could also mean another weekend you get an extra something from pvp and so on.
Suppose it was a discount on tailoring costs one weekend and not a discount on emblem costs.

I am not saying we should get a special every weekend, but say maybe one or two weekends a month on something in game.

Personally I'm against allowing people to buy the best gear, as others have said the gear grind is part of the MMO life.

There are also more fair and creative ways of helping people gain Emblems/gear. As has already been suggested, either lower prices (in terms of Emblem cost) slightly or give people more and fun ways to earn extra Emblems.

Also your suggested price seems way too low to me. As a Nebula also costs 1200 points, what's to stop you buying 500 Emblems at the same price, converting 200 of them into Marks of Exploration and buying the Nebula on the cheap? Leaving you with 300 Emblems left over to spend gearing it up.

Currently available Emblems:

1 x PvP Daily - 3 Emblems (C&H - technically, quickest, if you know the shortcut; Ker'rat and Arenas - roughly the same, if PuGging, if you're running with friends and taking them seriously, can potentially take a bit longer).

1 x Fleet Action Daily - 3 Emblems (Even if you have to go from start to finish in one of these, if you enter the low-level instance, at most, this will take an hour.)

1 x B'Tran Exploration - 3 Emblems (5-15 minutes per mission on Normal, longer for higher difficulties or larger teams.)

+1 B'Tran Emblem every 30 minutes (about how long a typical cycle of the 3 missions takes).

1 x Aid the Deferi - 3 Emblems (30-45 minutes on Normal, longer for higher difficulties or larger teams).

1 x Rescue Deferi Captives - 1 Emblem (2 minutes, if no combat, 5-10 minutes depending on level, with combat).

1 x Traelus Satellite Repair - 1 Emblem (5-10 minutes, longer for higher difficulty or larger team.)

1 x Defense Contract (Alhena) - 1 Emblem (5-10 minutes, longer for higher difficulty or larger team.)

1 x Aid Sh'mar (Freighter near Zibal) - 1 Emblem (5-10 minutes, longer for higher difficulty or larger team.)

Standard Daily Emblems Available: 17 (Currently)

Optional Bonus Emblems:

Up to 5 per STF completed (awarded by 1's or 2's when reaching checkpoints in many of the STF's) daily.

+1 each B'Tran cycle completed (every 30 minutes)

+3 emblems every 4-5 days, after gaining enough Computer Cores in the Defense Contract (Alhena) Daily mission.

The Devs are adding new Dailies all the time, which increases the available pool of missions that award Emblems for their completion.

Additionally, you can 'double up' on Emblems, every other day, if, like I do with my 2 VA's, take all available missions on all available characters. Do the Daily Missions for Emblems on ONE of those characters, then do whatever else you'd like. The following day, switch to an Alt, do their Daily Missions TWICE (as the cooldown timers for Dailies start when you ACCEPT the missions, not when you turn them in), gain twice as many Emblems; then do whatever you'd like. The 3rd day, switch back to your first (or another Alt) and do their Dailies TWICE, again, gaining twice as many Emblems in a day's play...

Basically, there are plenty of available Emblems, that don't require an enormous dedication of time (if you can't devote at least 2 hours of time to play, it's hard to justify paying for an MMO... Just ask my wife. )

Unless the game were to go to a F2P model (which I'm against, by the way), there is absolutely NO reason for Emblems to be available for purchase, in the C-Store or otherwise (likewise, they should remain non-transferable between characters, to prevent gold farmers from intruding on that domain also).

When doubling up on them, if I save the PvP for last (and don't always get a double set of those done), it takes between 2 and 3 hours to finish all of the Emblem missions. Assuming I lose the 6 Emblems from the double dose of PvP, I still get at least 28 Emblems, per day, when I double up (34, if I add in the double PvP's, easy on C&H days).

The most expensive Emblem items are 105 Emblems, at 28 per day, it will take less than 4 days (of play, over the course of 8 days, roughly) to collect enough Emblems for one of these items (if I add in double PvP's, it only takes 3 days, out of 6, and one extra 3-Emblem mission on the 4th day). Thus, I can get one of these top-cost Emblem items, once a week, for about 2-3 hours of play, every other night. On those nights, after I'm done, I can then do whatever I would like for the remainder of my play time.

Consoles cost 25, Weapons cost 30, so I can get one of these, every day or every other day (with Emblems to spare).

Also, with the ability to convert Emblems to the Marks of Honor/Exploration, I can fully outfit a ship with Mk X Purple Weapons in 2 days, and add shields, deflector, and engines, within a week, after that.

There are a ton of ways to get Emblems (again, without a huge investment in time), thus, there is no reason to make Emblems available for purchase in the C-Store.

P.S. Glad that the list helped.

Buying an advantage is unfair... but it already happens.

I have over 600 Emblems.

I could spend them on a new ship or 20 weapons.
But I could also buy a ship in the shop and buy 20 weapons.
-> I just saved 500 Emblems by paying $$$ and thus bought me an UNFAIR ADVANTAGE.

They should never have started selling ships in the shop. Skins would have been enough.
But they did not stop there, unfortunately.
So why not sell Emblem packs. If better gear gives an unfair advantage it is braindead that this advantage should suddenly become legal/fair if people... "worked for it."

If you focus on PvP, you are terribly inefficient at getting badges. I did not PvP for ages, doing a daily Deferi/B'Tran/Eta Eridani run or all together is so much more efficient for getting badges.

My suggestion: Instead of selling ships, they could reduce the emblem price for them and start selling emblems.
