Ultimately that is the problem with this game, stacking. They fix one stack that is op'd but do not address any others that will be almost as effective so you end up with 1.0 the age of the escort, 1.1 the age of the heal cruiser and cruisers in general, 1.2 being the age of science and stack-a-resist, 2.0 the stack-a-debuff. If they actually would have limited stacking across the board, matches would last a little longer damage would be manageable. Make most aux skills like weapons where you have a drain/recharge mechanic that penalizes using 5 skills at once. I think every skill should have a chance to negative proc, I mean you are in combat not every skill is going to work 100% of the time when your ship is getting beaten to hell and back, take it step further and have the negative proc be a percentage, a 2.5% chance that it will be 25% or 50% or 100% or 0% effective.

these are most certainly incorrect assumptions as to the "age of blah blah blah". I've said it about a billion times what the past metagames were. But sure, why not... DPS cruisers did not come into prominence until this season.

It's called diminishing returns, only hull resistance suffers from it. stacking 4-5 different shield resists on a person is fairly useless for that reason - you hit 75% way too easily. Most good teams rotate regularly at 50-60% resists

Bad comparison, because every ship gets weapons. Stacking tactical skills doesn't drop your weapons power. so while a CPB + PS can hurt, it doesn't oneshot you like a GDF + BO3 does.

One of the most commonly complained about things in game design is the lack of control and randomness in a game. Coin flips, random draws, random number generators. Games like poker can really make people frustrated, not because they get outplayed - but because they draw nothing but crap all day. Everyone knows how infuriating it is when your skills go on cooldown but don't take effect - it was one of the number one complained aobut bugs in recent weeks. "oh, i acted in time to save you... too bad the system ****ed up."

If you want to oneshot someone you really just need 125 weapons power, all you really have to do is pop all your tactical captain skills at once and use BO3 on a downed face. Flavor of the year instagib.

I'm a fan of the "strip all buffs but remove cooldown inecrease effect" proposed change myself. The fact that the cooldown debuff also affects cannon and torp fire rate/fire cycle is ridiculous IMO. I don't think beams are affected. Could be mistaken though.

Meh, I don't like any of the proposed except reducing the cool down to 2 minutes. I see this skill drop cruisers better than escorts, because escorts usually try to GTFO when they get SNB'd.
