Funny how Klingon only players are the only ones in this thread saying it's good advice.
Why?
Honestly. I know several KDF only who are more than happy to share tips and tricks with any player whom asks.
and even though I lost one Arena match today (T3) and won one cap-N-hold match (it was great fun) I still manged to have fun regardless of those feds players whom continually tell me and players of my "ilk" it seams how overpowered our faction choice is even though I never see this enviroment when I play.
Look, though there are ways to kill klinks in pvp, it doesnt change the fact that they are getting better stuff than feds. Where as feds get more, klinks get better, and which works more? The better stuff that allos for an npc armada loaded for bear that can anihilate a ship in three seconds flat.
Also, it is no fair that all klingon ships have universal stations. They should be set up like Federation vessels. Bops are tactical. Neghvars and vorchas are your cruisers. Raptors are science. THEY SHOULD NOT BE ESCORTS.
Also, wtf. Klingons get fighters FIRST? The Federation invented the fighter in the Dominion War with the Peregrine and reinvented it with the Valkyrie fighter after Insurrection. There was also the Wraith fighter from Starfleet Command 2 and Shattered Universe. Shattered Universe also had the Phantom Bomber and the Spectre fighter. And those predated TNG. Cryptic, you need to read more on Trekology before making something new.
Thanks for the input guys. And good to see you Eric!
Please don't whine and complain in this thread.
This is not a QQ thread, its a Pew Pew thread.
This thread covers basic anti-cloak (and by extension anti-KDF) tips, not basic battle tips. If you know how to fly in a team, this will help you tighten up your game in FvK matches. If you don't know how to play as part of a team (ie you don't understand how or you don't want to focus fire, heal and support team members), then these tips may help set up a kill, but you'll likely never follow through and get the kill.
I play 3 Fed VAs, 1 Fed Lt. Cmd, 1 KDF BG and 1 KDF Lt Cmd. I've played both sides, I know both sides. When it comes down to it, I love my Fed Science Captain in the Intrepid more than any of my other toons. Great fun to play, the only thing that detracts from playing Fed side is honestly the basic battle tactics of the average Fed player is horrendous: no support, no focus fire, no heals. It's mostly "Oh look I'm OMGWTF awesome I don't need anyone else" *Putt putt putt* to which the KDF often responds with a focused *PEW PEW PEW*. The KDF side is nice, though I'm not particularly fond of my KDF toons, I find that KDF teams are ironical (as they are Klingons) much more team oriented and far less self-oriented, which makes PvP more enjoyable when Pugging on the KDF side.
If you have good team work on both teams, the match will be even. The winner will be the team that can bump out that extra edge in tactics and momentum
