there is and we did trounce everything we met using all bop's with a mix of captains and cmdr science.
My apoligize then for speaking out of a lack of knowledge I just now learned, but did not the same been done with an all escort then?
As I have heard rumors. All escorts have done well at times , Turrets boats I think at one point took players by surprise. If these examples are true then can it really be said that BoP are neccassarily OP, except maybe in the hands of the experienced player ?

Frankly I refuse to find the BoP OP in nature as when I fly it, I have to work hard and pay attention to stay alive and do well in pvp. Characteristics I hardly expect in an OP vessel.

We have run an all escort grp too, while this setup was fine vs pugs it was not enough to break a full premade . Lack of heals were a problem and pure damage was not always enough to break healing cruisers when facing fed premades using x3 cruisers and x2 sci ships. With the Bop setup we have beaten premades even one running that setup, and ones that new exactly what they were que'd to face.

There is a differnece between rolling full pug groups, which i bet we could do in almost any ship combination, as could many good fleet groups and beating full fleet premades who are aware of tactics/ships you intend to employ.

I am not saying the Bop is op either but as a tool in the hands of a good player it does offer advatages impossible to replicate in other ships, players are a significant factor in how well that tool is used however.

True we feel no pain then. And laugh louder we when hear a FED scream "Klingons are OPed!"

But to the original point of the thread:
I have found that low level PvP(I haven't played end game PvP as a FED) is actually easer for my FED alts as long as you:
Team up;
Move away from the spawn point ASAP;
Have defenses going BEFORE you see the first Klingon;
Focus fire on one target at a time;
And prioritize targets from first to last: BOPs-->Raptors-->Cruisers.

I'm bringing up a new Klink, currently Cmdr 1,
I,ve won maybe 50% of the arenas, 75% of the C&H's and about 95% of the 1vs1's i find in Ker'Rat.& i'm pretty much leveling with PVP only. Feds at this level seem more experienced on the whole than most of the Klinks I've played with.
Except for my victi....errr,...opponents in Ker'Rat.

With this I agree. That is the nature of the BoP. A squishy ship with a Alpha-personality that can be played very well by an experienced person.

lol- the more "removed for sober reality" I become the deadlier I am. Even if I'm dead beware, Us Yellowbeards are never more deadly than when we are dead.:p
