This is a really simple question, but it frustrates me to no end, so I hope I can get an answer here.
You know those lines of green text that appear in the middle of the screen? Like when you change sector or (more annoying) when looting in a team. I'd like to change what gets displayed in this text, similar to how you can change what gets shown in the chat windows.
But for the life of me I can't figure out how. Is there an in-game way to do this? If not, is there some sort of mod or whatever that could help?
As far as I know you cannot pick and choose what gets displayed.
Mods are completely against the terms of use of the game and could get your account terminated so I wouldn't suggest speaking about them or even using any that you may come across.
While you cannot change what displays there you can move it out of the way. Open your Menu and choose Rearrange HUD (or just press F12). You can move the the Notifications UI to wherever you like. I usually move mine to the upper right hand corner next to my mini map.
