Besides, let's face it, if Kirk had faced Q, Kirk would have found a way to kill Q or at least leave him powerless. Why? Because that's what Kirk does. Unlike that pansy Picard, who just talks about problems in committee until they die of boredom.

Also worth noting, replace the Enterprise with a Klingon ship in that first Borg episode. Klingons would have kept firing. Borg ship go boom. No Borgs heading toward the alpha quadrant. But instead, Q sent Feds. And now we got to put up with space zombies.

now im gonna put on my serious face here.

saying that the Klingons would have survived the first borg cube when a fleet of over 40 starfleet ships couldn't so much as scratch the single borg cube's hull?

Well, to be fair, the Klingons have experiences killing gods.

But maybe confusing myth and reality can be dangerous.

Q and the Klingons:

Klingons? At best, I get an angry grovel, more likely is that they try to charge me with one of their primitive implements. Okay, admittedly, the Sisko hit me once, but it was all part of a civilized conversation, he just took it to an unexpected level.
Klingons seem to have no capacity at all for self-improvement unless it comes to battle tactics. Klingons are one-dimensional and if you have known one, you know them all, and you'd rather not know any of them. Which is hard to do for an omnipotent and omniscient person like me, unfortunately.
Well, as you can see, for a man in my phase of intellectual development, they suddenly piqued my interest. What was really to them?
Ah, well, I digress. Back to your question why you're outside in the middle of a raging storm, while Kahless send everyone else inside to hide behind the walls of Quin'lat, [Rank].
Oh. Quin'lat. That has a nice ring to it, don't you think?
I feel like I am channeling more Doctor then Q, though.

The first borg cube was shot up majorly by just the Enterprise. At that point, Picard decided to stop shooting and beamed aboard. This gave the Borg time to repair their ship and adapt it to Federation technology. Once that happened, all the Enterprise could do was try and run and, ultimately, be blinked away by Q. But not before the Borg stole information as to the location of the Federation.

So, yes, the first borg cube would have been survived by Klingons or, for that matter, even the Feds if Worf or Kirk was in command. And the battle you refer to? Avoided.
