This has probably been answered but for the life of me cannot find the answer. It's not detailed in the STO manual and after several failed attempts of using the search facility on the forum have resorted to posting.
What does the small number next to enemy/friendly ships in the UI mean? I have seen minus numbers and positive numbers. Is it simply how more powerful that ship is? Positive numbers more powerful and negative less? Sometimes the number is green, white or red, have no idea what that means.
if i recall correctly the colours are also an indicator about how 'strong' the mob is. white being 'normal' green 'easy' and red 'difficult'. thus a mob with a green zero might be a pushover while a red zero could involve some fighting.
