Since there already redesigning the ESD, i had a sugestion. Why not make an animation of you ship docking into the station. Something simple like you ship flys in the door when you dock. When you undock, your ship flies out.

Has been suggested a couple of times, we'll have to see what can be done with that in the future. However, we should be able to skip this animation. Once you've seen this four or five times, it most likely will be just in the way for many players who just want to get along. So the first few times it'll be interesting and nice to see, but later on it might turn into an annoying thing if it is not able to be skipped.

there is a link somewhere in either ten foreward or the sto discussion thread with a link to an interview with Dstahl and he toward the end said they were practically there with making that doable, and that he would love to see it.

If we get that I would like it so when you go to the ship requisition room its your currently selected ship you see in front of the windows that would be awesome.

You should have to fly into the bay doors to dock

or have a skippable animation of you being tractored in which is what happens.

Even better, have the anamation play while the ESD interior is loading...
although the current game engne probably can't handle that.

Back when the beta came out, didn't they have a few animated loading screens? (I know they were gone by the time the game officially started)

well lets see i dont think you wish to just look at a graphic, when you are docking or undocking. Pretty much you are waiting for the instance to load. so why not be entertained while the next instance is loading. get along is impossible when you have to wait for the loading screen to finish.
