Should be a area in sol or the opp side where you can go to test out the weapons, skills instead of flying to another system to use them on the npcs

Amen! In cannon, there is a Saturn Flight Test Range. That could be an area with several "dummy" targets to shoot at, like asteriods, and derilict ships (The US Navy has used several decommisioned asbestos filled ships for target practice, such as the USS Eliot, now at the bottom of the Pacific).

There diffinatly needs to be some way to test out new ship and character builds before we spend the skill points or buy the equipment.

We need a Holodock on Holodeck.

*Cough* Ship Interiors *Cough*

I use tribble for any build changes. saves me a lot on Respec tokens. all I do is copy over a character, and test him out. if I fail then I just keep on using the tokens until they are gone. once they are gone I delete the character and load up a new one. rinse and repeat until you get the build you want.

I like to use Starbase 24 as a test bed for new equipment. Not far from ESD, and plenty of targets in both space and inside. It also has some nice mission drops.
