# 1 More weapons slots please
12-17-2010, 11:27 PM
This is the one thing that disappoints me about the combat in STO, there's not enough slots for all the weapons/forms of attack we may use.

Everytime I want to change my fighting style, I have to "swap out" the weapon in question.

I would use at least 4 different weapons/attacks if I had the choice.

1. Dual Pistols
2. Bat'leth
3. Sniper Rifle or High Density Beam Rifle (it varies depending on which Captain I'm playing).
4. Unarmed combat.

Tabula Rasa had 5 weapons slots, Guild Wars has 4.

So why do we only get 2?

I would also prefer that they're hot keyed, like F1-F4 to switch, none of this "cycling" through weapons until we get to the one we want.

I would be able to see the weapons Im carrying! and have a keyboard short cut to switch weapons.

I know its silly to hope someone from cryptic reads these things, I mean there are like tons of posts all the time, but I can only hope...

Swap weapon key defaults to 'Z'.

Wait, now where did I put those?

*rumages through the deep dark recesses of the bank tab, eventually finding them rusting under a pile of Tribbles*

Oh there they are.

*tosses them back in the corner and leaves*

I don't like assault weapons.
At least, I don't like STO assault weapons.

I learned a long time ago that a shotgun, a chainsaw, and a rocket launcher can handle any situation you'll encounter in a computer game.
