i thought that. maybe i just need to work out how i'm pricing stuff.
Oh the pricing totally depends what you want.
Quick money or a slight chance your items will be returned.
For quick money you simply price them a bit lower(which I usually do). I earn a disgusting amount of money on people wanting to save a few ECs.
I mean they probably put them backup on the exchange for a higher price but I already made my 100% profit.
Give them the same price as everything else on the exchange and there is no telling how long it will take before someone buys your items.

i honestly tend to check how much something is going for on the exchange first, then try to go below that and find a balance with being reasonable but still making money. i don't know. its not like i don't have anything valuable (when i logged in for five minutes yesterday, i found that i had every trace needed to make the aegis set. yes, all three parts), so its not a case of not having the goods.
ive never had more than 1.3 million at any one time. not that it's not a lot, i just find myself amazed when people talk about having twenty or thirty million. i know its not a huge deal, just something i always found curious.
If you close down the dialog boxes in the secure system missions the enemies wont spawn leaving you alone to gather the anomalies. And they do tend to have 4-5 anomalies if there is combat involved.
But you did not hear that from me... *skips away whistling innocently*
I was aware, but I still prefer the "Scan Five" just because they guarantee five sets of anomalous data, and help me build up Badges of Exploration (with which I purchase uncommon consoles, weapons, and rare equipment to hawk on the exchange).

I've only had two occasions so far where someone dashed in front of me to get the stuff...
Funny thing is, on both occasions I turned off to the right to get out of their way and 4 more anomalies popped up right in front of me as they started scanning the one they zipped by me to grab.

Yeah. Setting a slightly lower price(even if its just a 1000 EC) can increase your chances to get items sold.
Some of the prices are just ridiculous.
Earned 2 million earlier by selling a stack of 60 samples needed for one of those parts. Dont remember which. I got more than enough samples needed to complete sets.
Rare traces... While rare are not that hard to get. And when farming I tend to forget about the time because I'm usually doing something else while farming. (got a movie playing on the laptop next to me or something)

*takes a swim in a latinum filled pool*
Indeed. I usually rely on the aid or scan to complete those missions these days.
Fight I can do on a lowbie or in a STF. :p

question: do you sell in bulk or individually? if you dont mind my asking, i mean.

Depends.
Currently I'm finding stacks of 60 of the samples needed for Aegis to be more profitable than smaller amounts.
Other samples I usually sell in 10-20-30 stacks or something.
Removing the cost of 5-10 samples from each stack.
I get a near instant sell and someone gets a few samples for free.
Just undercutting everyone in the exchange with some of the anolamlies and rare traces I have stored up :p
Also, ignore my last comment, byt the end of the day I had made 45-50 million :p
Have been doing this for weeks too, as a lot of people have been stocking up.
The great thing is, I can make a killing of the exchange for the first few days (same as I did when I exploited ramming and the CE, and when I was getting endgame gear before most people) - but now that people are realising how much money can be made, the exchange is getting flooded and people will practically be giving all of the crafting anomalies and items away - so win win :p
It is also rather amusing to see some do the farming in their biggest and baddest ship.
I prefer a small escort or a runabout.
I mean... I wont do any combat when farming so why not take the ship with the best turn rate, no?
SNIP
Yea I thought the same thing, in sector space I took out my runabout and yea, same turn rate so it was not funner to farm this way. If you go inside a missions I guess. By the time the screen finishes loading, I've gotten 5 already.
I have noticed the new interest in data collecting lately, but have yet to have anyone engage slipstream on me yet.
I did have someone scan an anomaly right out from under me as I went to scan it and I ended up entering a hidden system instead. Fortunately, it was the "scan 5" one and I went ahead and scanned my five.
