Hmm.....definitely have to go with a match that I had that took place the last day of 1.2 (back in late July); I happened to get in on an internal match with the newly formed TSI while I was on my Fed Sci/Sci.

We we're lucky that somebody was fraps'ing the whole thing because the match lasted quite a while and the end result was 15-15 (I kid you not) as the final kill sounded and just a moment after the scoreboard came up another kill sounded for a 15 all tie

Went and dug up these from an old forum thread, posted by kellfxxx:

My best match was not one of the balanced and challenging fights. It was a 15-0 roflstomp. It was the first day of the Science Wizards. In this match the fleet was not yet called Science Wizards, but the team had just come up with the sci spam setup in an attempt to find a fun build for the second half of the second season of the KT tournament.

In this first match with the new setup, it worked perfectly. The entire opposing team, a random pug, was sucked in by the gravity wells, bounced up and down and got killed by the other stuff that was thrown at them. Absolutely hilarious.

No challenge, no balance - only pure fun. I had never before and have never since heard ventrilo filled with that much laughter.

I've had tons of fun in this game, picking out one match is kind of hard. 7th core tourney this summer was fun, 182/tsi interfleet "training" matches was a lot of fun, QEW always puts up a good fight, so props especially for being gracious equally in victory and defeat goes to Tiedemand and Beagles (I love Beagles-(the dogs)).

Most of all this game is fun because of players like Era, Zorena, Santa, Noah, Superborg, Outcast, Sivar, Healbert, Sheridan, Kai and all the rest of the people I play and have played a lot with.

Happy new year

Edit; If I forgot any of the guys I play a lot with that's unintentionally, I blame a lack of coffee...

best match of the year definitely was vs. Aurora Fleet during the KT-League! Hard fought on both sides with glory for all

My favorite match was this Fed player shooting off his mouth after his team got owned.
i asked him to relax or told him off or something, i don't know.
He professed he hadn't lost a one on one pvp match in his life and challenged me.
I accepted and put everything into defence on my carrier and watched tv on my 2nd screen for an hour as he tried to punch through my shields. He eventually said "well, at least I can say I doubled your dps" and left.
I felt his inner soul screaming wondering why he just wasted an hour of his life to satisfy his ego.

My buddy Jake and I are always competing for 'best captain' accolades. He primarily plays fed, I primarily play Klingon. Pretty much since single challenge PvP came out, we have been dueling. First his souped up escort vs my carrier... I am sure you can guess who won that one. LOL Then it was his Cruiser vs my BoP... yeah, he won all those fights. Then that same cruiser vs my cruiser.

So every one of these fights were sweet... especially My BoP vs his Cruiser. That was a challenge like I have NEVER had before. Even though I only ever killed him like twice in like 5 matches... those were just nailbiting moments.

He would toy with me, let his shields get low enough that I would dive in and start ripping him up... then he would heal up to 100% and beam overload my shields away, forcing me to flee...

The BEST moment however was:

I somehow managed to get his hull down to about 43%, so he makes like he is going to run... THEN, he suddenly stops, and I am about 1km from his rear and closing... then starts dumping warp plasma all over my face, then unleashes a beam overload, shredding my hull down to 30%. I knew a torp was soon in coming so I hit brace for impact and polarize hull (For resistance) and my devidian device for extra phys/kinetic resist... He slowly wheels his ship around and accelerates on an intercept course. My ship is crippled and BURNING in green evil flames, but I am about to get my haz emitters off cooldown...
Suddenly his giant cruiser lurches forward at breakneck speed and I realize too late.

...RAMMING SPEED!!!

I close my eyes, realizing the enevitable explosion to follow... but it's not MY ship that is going up in a fiery blast... it's HIS?!?!

For anyone who is reading this... resistances MAKE A DIFFERENCE. When a federation cruiser can SLAM into a BoP and inexplicably EXPLODE, and the BoP survives... that means something!

My buddy and I STILL laugh about that match.

Thoroughly enjoyed the one that Kai mentioned at the top of the thread, also have to mention the epic game I played with BobtheYak, Chakotay (come back we miss you) and Superborg - it seemed to go on forever but it was on a total knife edge the whole time.

Also an honorable mention to the Knights Templar PvP League end of season 1 fun matches - 10 v 10 mayhem (complete headache to set up too)

TSI, FSI, KT & others - all mixed up and blowing stuff up - good times.

I was in a CAP n HOLD that was a virtual stalemate for about 45 minutes....I topped out over 500K in dmg and 400K in heals with 32 kills in a T-5 intrepid on my Tac main.

The battle went back and forth, they got us down to I think 150, and we brought them down from 500 and held steady till we were hanging on by the grit of our teeth, then it happened we took another point and rallied them down to dust with the last of them exploding as the ticker left them with 0 control points and my hull at 23% with no shields and armor engaged.

Best dammed Pug I ever got into...and those boys on the Kling side were absolutly fantastic PvP'rs....the Feds I grouped with were no slouches either.....a true tribute to what one well motivated starship capt can do....i miss those days......
