Grats for being top kid on several areas.

Gonna be a wet blanket though...you competed against hello kitty....

I remember when Rocky Balboa got soft and Mr T. came along and really beat hm down because he was propped up and coddled.

Was there really any true competition to merit a YAY??

I think we got an idea of the absolute minimum player base our game has. From Massively's best of article...

"Let's start off with the Best Launch of 2010. Star Trek Online walked away with 47.6% of the vote on this one, while nothing else really came close. In fact, the next-highest vote count belongs to None of the Above (shown as All Other Responses in the graph), meaning the 11,820 people who voted in this one weren't really impressed with anything else in 2010"

Just a bit under the 6k mark implies that about 5550 voted for STO. That's of the player base that would bother to go vote. I don't dare to hazard a guess of what fraction of the player base the voters represent though. I think there is some truth to that about 11000 number I heard in a Popcorn post though.

Good job. I've played many MMO's and rome wasn't built in a day. I remember where in WoW the Horde didn't actually have any pve quests just like the Klingon's don't have much in STO. In time, it'll be done, I have faith in you! Just keep building and fixing, add in some creatures, perhaps more pets, pve content for the Klinks, and you'll be well on your way with things.

Just don't screw up by becoming too confident, always continue to listen to the fans, no matter how crazy some of the ideas may be.

You played Apple Trek too? You have to be in your forties or very close to it to claim you have played every Star Trek game ever made. You know because before Star Trek computer games there were table top games like Starfleet Battles. Just saying.

The mark Cryptic set to achieve was 10,000 to keep the servers on and the Devs cranking out new content. The article suggests that Cryptic has that 10,000 base so we are OK for the time. Now please stop with all the gloom and doom. You could have a bad effect on the new players who also help to keep the doors open.

yeah..umm you know a lot of us here have been watching trek and playing games from the beginning ya know. It doesn't mean we are decrepid and useless eh? LOL ok when i say "from the start" i am referring to games...i was right there for the zx81 and the binatone man. And as far as trek I was watching kirk and spock on reruns when i was 8 years old lol. so i dont think you need to look at comments as "claims" LOL thats very untrusting. Trek bring in a diverse age range..as star wars kinda does.

As far as the numbers voting and the numbers playing the game. LOL it's that big secret thats annoying so many people. Cryptic wont tell you thier secret..and it's driving some people nuts haha now we have people coming ourt with all these different( and more and more irrational) ways of GUESSING the player base!! give it up!!! if you knew you would only read into it what you wanted to..the numbers would mean something different to everyone and it would only change the debate and not stop it.

I dont know why i made this post..one of those times when playing shouls have superceded typing..sigh...i fail

Pretty sad when this is what you got to shout about, but hasnt everything got to start somewhere.

On this note ill say this:

Even a silly little tribble or a plain outfit goes into the C-Store because you said there was not enough subbers, now ive seen a huge rise in numbers so are we going to see more items go directly into the game or will you continue to flood the c-store with every little item?

Show your true colors time!
