Power heals with the aegis covariant (total reliant on my own heals to keep my shields up)
Or
Decent heals with the borg regen shields (terrific regen, and the heals are nothing to laugh about)
Pvp is covariant and Pve is borg regen,,,,Is it really that simple or something else entirely...
Having the specific statistics of the regenerative shield would certainly be useful to make that comparison.
This might be helpful for general comparisons between Covariants and Regenerative Shields, but the Aegis and Borg shields have unique properties that migt invalidate this. http://forums.startrekonline.com/sho...d.php?t=195971
COV better for pvp because if a BoP or escort alphas a reg the lower shield cap alows more of that apha to hit the hull before it can reg. Makeing Cov better for pvp.
If you are a really good player you can go reg but you must have high res always running or a rsp ready for alphas.
Reg are good for cruiser and DSSV, but all othe ship it would hinder them.
