I dont mind the background music but whos the sicko that made the terrible opera singing that sometimes creeps into the background. Reminds me of being in a circus freakshow

You mean the "Ahhhh ahhhhahhhh AHHHHHH!"? For some reason it makes me laugh.

Oddly enough, hearing that guy hit those notes when I first started playing....seeing my starter ship soar through space while he pushes those vocal cords.... is one of my fonder memories of STO.

while i turned off the background music after the first week I will say I did find the opera music fun it was up there with the kirk tuck and roll. I just wana know why they left out his other patented maneuver involving his shirt coming off mid roll.

Tried to request some good Klingon Opera, but if fell on deaf ears sadly.

"Dire Opera Guy" is one of the more loving names for this performer. :p

my sister walked into the room when that operatic "Ahhhhhahhhhh" was going on.

She started laughing hysterically and imitating it. NOT one of my fondest STO memories, haha.

I love the music in this game, I was so happy to hear that it wasn't just music ripped out of the TV shows and played in random like most games based on an IP does.

And I agree, that piece does remind me of the TOS days, while keeping it original.

For some reason I imagine it is the Doctor from Voyager every time I hear it O.o
