wasnt there a "know your foe" thread a bit ago? i can only imagine what they do with those pics.... lol

i like playing against klingons (with a good team ie, people i know) win or lose, the thrill of the hunt is awsome, the trying to find the cloakers before they decloak and ruining their plans is a great feeling.....

TBH, Carriers stuns isnt that problematic.. They do not have manouvrebility nor firepower to exploit an stunned opponent.

The BOP however is another deal alltogether.. The mix of highlevel Science and Tactical abilities and manouvrebility makes for the most lethal ship in the game. While it is not a Escort, it *is* far more dangerous.

Example:

I recently had a "bored-moment" and respecced my Tactical to fly a Science ship, buffing the Repulsors with my Tac Captain skills, which made for some pretty impressive games; frequently outscoring any other ship on the map (Arena and C&H alike) without ever changing my 25-25-50-100 powersetting. 1 run of TBR3 with appropiate took almost any escort or SV to the brink of death, without touching their shields.

One of my fleeties took this approach to his KDF toon and mixed it with his prefered escort build:

FAW3 - TBR3 - FBP2 - Beta1 and all the usual Tac buffs.. In his words, "It is amazing"

Its far more effective with a Tac Captain

AP:A, TacFleet, GDF all boost the damage on Sci powers

Lose SubNub and Scan and gain a LOT of bleedthrough damage :p

I do and I love it

It's not effective on the Gal-X, but with a specced Klink cruiser captain they really pack a punch, since the turnrate is so much better. This, plus a cruisers survivability, means they can keep the heat on a target far longer then a BoP or Raptor when being attacked themselves.

It also enables you to do a decent amount of damage without having to pack any offensive skills, allowing you to focus purely on tanking while still being a threat.

Why do people see the need to come to the PVP forums and post the blatant obvious.

"Voice comms will beat pugs" duh
"The right ship setup will be victorious" duh again

As for the EVE references,
STO will never have anywhere near the level of PVP that EVE has.

No matter how much those of us that PVP want it.

Oh and FYI the devs don't read the PVP forums or listen to the PVP community, its considered too small to waste precious resources developing further.

Most of us that still PVP regularly have lifetime subs, so its really no big deal waiting around for things to improve. But if i was paying a monthly fee, and a active PVP enthusiast there is no way i would be sticking around.
The PVP community is shrinking and alot of people that didn't have lifetime subs, have already unsubscribed. When its not arena dailys you can spend 20+ minutes waiting to get a game...

STO is in a sad state when the only form of open PVP involves throwing ice cubs at federation players and having them pm you saying that they will have you reported and banned from STO, .

Oh and don't take my rage post personally.
