I always put a Dual beam on the front to use more BA:O!

So now I'll have to choose Tac Team for the anti BT:S or an ensign BT:S of my own?

You chose to infer that I "can't solo a tactical cube" just for the opportunity to sling the insult
but get this, you can't insult someone where your opinion is worthless.

Just an FYI for your future forum posts.
You totally missed the point, have you ever heard of jumping the shark? It's a meme where you do something that would be awesome if it weren't so easy. When you solo a tactical cube you've jumped the shark. I didn't mean to insult you, but when 99% of the mobs in game are solo-able, its hard for me to swallow that these balance changes will drastically effect PvE balance.

I've always understood the phrase "jumping the shark" meant making a change to the norm that is above and beyond the norm, almost to the extreme.

It was coined during the tv series Happy Days when the Fonz actually Jumped a shark in his motor cycle.

Ever since then whenever a tv show did something rediculous it was referred to as "Jumping The Shark"

I remember long ago when Infected first cam out.

I did not know what an STF was and there was no mission warning.

I solo'd all The Borg ships in the first space part then was told That even if I got through the second starbase part I would be stuck at the code imput where you need 3 people. I still think this is lame and I don't think I could solo all those ships now either even though I do more damage now.

unless someone made up one for a computer game thats not the definition of jumping the shark.

it refers to the episodes in happy days where the fonz actually jumped a sharp in one of the episodes. it means when a show reaches a point where its just beyond stupid or has gotten to the point where a show has reached it peak and is now losing its momentum.

nothing to do with how easy it was or even computer games in general.

I thought it meant the point when something was basically over, like when Claudia Black guest stars on a show.

Or when a game goes F2P.....

Claudia black is awesome. i will hear no ill against her. :p

also free to play is caused because something went wrong before to make it go free to play, and f2p can also be a point of recovery.

I also like her, It just seems whenever she goes on a show, for the last 3 at least, that show gets done.

I think the F2P is a shrewd business decision to cover their bets in case SWTOR does overwhelm them.

I know this will get lost amoung the tsunami of replies, but I want to say I'm impressed with this shift in the combat model. I'm generally extremelt critical with how combat is modeled in STO...but this shift is in the right direction.

The idea of adjusting escort defense more heavily toward movement is paramount. The idea of refocusing shield defense to the shield power and not wizardry is tremendous step in a more sound combat model and finally brings to the fore front (at least with shields) the woefully overlooked and previously inconsequential tactical aspect of System Managment in combat...kudos Snix.
