oh once the carriers are ditched and cruiser and BOP spam happens they will cry nerf again. Where they cant learn or find themselves lacking in abilities, The crying starts, same in any mmos and the Dev's always cater to the loudest of the populace, just incase they go crying elsewhere. PR disaster, these changes are for PR not for anything useful. Fed ships are getting steadily stronger, klinks are getting steadily weaker.

The more I think about it, the more I think Snix is only doing another "quick-fix" than actually solving the problems.

Shield Resistances - Okay this is to prevent that invul player stacking EPtS with TSS or RSF (moreso RSF since that was nerfed while TSS was not).

NPC Spam - Snix, its more than just Vo'Quv spawns, you got those Orion Interceptors, Photonic Fleets, Fleet Support, and mines. If you get enough it severely lags low-end systems and make them easy targets. Not to mention NPC Spam takes from the spirit of Star Trek.

Heal Stacking - It's now uncommon to see players having literally 20 buffs on them at any given time. A person can literally go from near death to full health in less than 3 seconds. So PvP becomes "who has the better healer".

This is what really needs to be nerfed.


Cryptic you made the strong, stronger and making the weak so intimidated they gave up PvP altogether and now the community is just barely enough to have regular matches. Players have to wait 30 minutes at any given time. And it's really open to more griefing of people queuing up but not engaging.

Buff the newbs, and nerf the experienced. Bring them all to the same level and things would be fun.

may not work as the feds prefer to fight FvF most days. (its easier)

Wait - weren't shield resistances capped lower and various abilities buffed for their anti-fighter capabilities?

Certainly not newb and fall short of Uber.
How would you keep the unscrupolis player from lying as to thier status of experience to play in a macth they outclass?

I've gone against far too many Fed premades that honestly weren't even that good. They only won because every single one of them was spamming Chroniton mines/Breen torp (at least one of the Escorts was using a Dispersal Pattern as well). If we had a better way to target we would have far fewer issues with the NPC spam (except for those with low-end machines, unfortunately).

And heal stacking could definitely use a change. What, I don't know, but it does. When I can hit someone that's at the brink of death with Attack Pattern: Delta + EngTeam 3 + Aux to SIF 3 + Extend Shields + Hazard Emitters + Transfer Shield Strength and bring them back to like 50% with some redonkulous resists, it's a sign that something needs changed.

Anti-fighter capabilities? Unless we are all sporting multiple defense turrets, Snix is going in the wrong direction.

Indeed. Everyone from "newb" to experienced has complained about this. When they intially buffed this, it's purpose was to build teamwork and get the inexperienced to survive longer. Instead, it only helped out the Experienced in making them literally invulnerable.

If TSS and Extend shields shared shield damage and Hazzard Emitters were nerfed to low-end healing, then things would be more normalized in PvP.

Well that's my take at least.

Transfer Shield Strength and Extend Shields "sharing" damage sounds like a great idea. Especially since that makes sense with the name of the abilities
