# 1 10 Things for STO to Consider

Here is my list of things I would like to see added to STO.

1. A better crafting system. Allow devices/items/food to be crafted that have nothing to do with anything looted or sold. This way looted items never conflict with crafted items.

2. More diversity and different effects amongst food. Food should also effect players differently based on racial taste. I hate looting 6 different kinds of drink and food and they do all the same thing.

3. More conventional and hand to hand combat weapons & abilities for ground game play. Besides being able to increase weapon damage with power cells, how about scopes and other items for range and accuracy. Weapons could have slots and the effects are limited, requiring to buy or make more.

4. Planets with active life, monsters, creatures, quests, and raid dungeons. I have never been to so many lifeless planets/areas in a game before.

5. Allow plant life, asteroids, rock, and creature skins to be harvested/mined and used for some type of crafting or possible mining for gems and rare metals. Allow salvage of space junk or destroyed vessels that can only be sold to cargo vessels.

6. Improve BO ground commands and allow BO abilities to be use on the hot bar for better diversity when doing solo PvE.

7. Allow looted items to be dismantled and broken down into items for crafting for those that don't want to sell things.

8. Create a Holodeck where characters/NPC's/ship can test abilities and DPS with charts. Or allow holo-BO's to join away missions like The Doctor EMH.

9. Military PvP zone control and active travel "Neutral Zone" routes that have "open" PvP areas to add realism. Make starbases have multi-tier assaults with ground & space action happening at the same time in PvP. Have starbases & starports that can be controlled, locking areas down or "opening" up enemy main starbases or quest areas where epic battles can take place. Think of the Warhammer MMO where you can lock zones down and siege the city! They keep saying in STO that its a time of war...well...

10. Major 6 part quest line (VA only), very hard, and last part requires a 5 person team where the main loot drop is only 5%. The quest is called: The Noonien Soong Factor. The goal of the quest is to fight, find, and create 6 parts, including a positronic brain. The artificial life form when created will become a fully operational BO that is 100% customizable.

Sounds like you want STO to become more WoWish.
2. Buff food from wow
3. WoW temporary buffs such as sharpening stones and gun scopes
4. Ambient life and raid/quests...need I say more
5. Exact copy of harvest system that wow has
6. Hunter pet bar . Then again I have been asking for this too.
7. Disenchant profession
8. Target dummy
9. Open world pvp zones

Love the idea about building an android bo. But the community has been hating the difficulty of the stfs and most of the ones that complete these missions do so on RA

1) Dstahl has said they're working on it.

2) I agree completely. It seems like a waste that they've included all of that effort to code in all of those different types of food only to have them be almost entirely ignored in game.

3) Season 4 is supposed to be a big revamp of ground combat.

4) Pretty much everyone agrees with this. I'm sure that Cryptic will do it as soon as they can figure out how to make it a C-Store item.

5) That's a great idea for Klingons or a Neutral Faction, but completely against type for Starfleet Officers. So it's unlikely to be added to Starfleet Online.

6) One of the things they've said they're working on as part of Season 4.

7) Isn't that really part of 1 above?

8) Agree with first statement, disagree with second one.

9) This has been suggested 137,482 times since these forums opened. Yet for some reason the devs are still not sure if people really want this.

10) A ridiculously difficult raid/STF type mission that has a 95% chance to offer absolutely no reward?? That idea is so ridiculously bad that I can't describe it with words.

it would be cool to see the BOFFs you leave behind on the ship to have various abilities that can provide support from your ship, a few examples could be like beam down medical supplies, beam down medical support, orbital strike should apply to this. send shuttle rescue. emergency beamout. site to site transport. homing beacon (similar to that used in the TNG episode "the enemy" on Galorndon Core.)

yeah i like them all, although part 10 id personally prefer it was all solo but thats just because im a solo player.
