I'm sure it's not by choice. School starts early for Z.
Get your votes in folks! First officialy TFBB event for 2012 is getting closer! What will it be? Who will be there? Same TFBB time (2PM ET, Saturday's and Sundays), same TFBB channel (TFBB, link in sig for setup instructions).
Yep! make sure you get your vote in and show up for either or both of this weekends events. Not only is having yoru say on the events the TFBBB runs important, but being there to kill other players is also.
Today's event marked the first officiall TFBB event of the year.
By majority rule, today's events were mainly STFs.
Today's event opened up with a quick and easy Infected Space run. Borg were cut down like a hot knife through butter with little resistance at all. From us to the Borg, "Resistance is Futile."
Following the Infected Space run, I bowed out for the following 3 STF runs to finish up lunch and respec some more of my toons. The first of these 3 was KA Ground. From what I could tell by progression in chat. Things ran smoothly and rather quickly, but Cast wasn't able to get his Borg Science BOff.
Following KA Ground, Cure Space was tackled. Yet again, from what I could tell from chat, things progressed quickly and smoothly with little incident.
To end today's STF runs, Infected Ground was tackled. Beginning of the run ran through rather quickly. Then came Becca. What I read in chat showed a bit of trouble in the final room. Becca killing everyone and having to redo the center shield. After a bit of trial and error. She was sent packing into the plasma, yet again. (Man, how many of here do the Borg have anyway? Seems like she never goes away.)
For a change of pace to end today's events with, we did a 3-on-3 Space PvP. Things ran neck in neck there for a while, but Red Team was eventually able to pull away. Gronk had some impressive healling with his Negh'var, over 1,000,000 in healing.
I don't mind going on another run for anyone that still needs and wants to get the Borg Science Officer. Just give me a heads up and we'll get a team together to specifically do this.
Todays PvP was definitely a great match! Kills where well earned although I felt I wasn't much of a target. Maybe I need to smack talk a little more to draw some aggro in future. :p My Raptor showed its teeth because of that, shocking me with the most damage done inthe match. *rubs in faces* Maybe next time, you'll go straight for me instead.
Gronk's ship is a rock solid tank! I tried and I tried in a little one-on-one off to the side of Z's spam fighter fest but he lealed up too quick for the damage I could deal. He also kept pounding on my ship so I ran of to shoot at what everyone else was shooting. Great job and congrats on being the top healer!
Thanks to everyone who came out for days event. With four successful STF runs and the awesome VA/LtG PvP match that followed. It was a great way to kick off another year of the Ten Forward Battle Brigades.
Away with the STF's of yesterday and back into space PvP and a ground match also (cause I forgot to change the map). First match was a bit brutal. 3 escorts on one side made killing each target one by one pretty easy.
I really wish Crytpic would come up with some sort of auto team balancing algorithm or at least an easier way to tell what everyone is in and such. Speaking up ont he teams is important also. If anyone feels the teams look lopsided, please say so! Balance makes for a much more fun match.
Match 2 and 3 brought us up to 5 on 5. [= My escort didn't fair as well in those two rounds but I still enjoyed being massacred. The final match was ground on the Assimilated Cruiser map. None of us were really expecting ground but it was a fun surprised non the less. Pets everywhere and some very nice noteworthy damage scores from Winters, Pi, and Z. Excellent!
