Alrighty! I'll be around to fill in for Z then. Majority Rules looks like will decide what we do. See you all Satuday at 2PM ET.

We missed you all today. Still Frans, JC and I had a great time blowing each other to smithereens. Well JC got popped the most but he teamed it that way.

Today was more of a test of build quality which in friendly challenges is the way it should always be. No one ever wants to be blow up in PvP but if you learn something from it you will be that much more effective the next week.

There were only two rounds really.

First was on the ground. JC vs Frans and I. Consideration given to JC for being out numbered he did very well. Dropped me twice as I recall. Frans ran a tac to great effect. JC ran an engie and made very good use of his turrets, drones and barrier. Jc even took the time to show me how well the Orbital Strike skill had been fixed, (0.0 that really freaking hurt for the record). I showed JC how much fun it is to get gravitationally shifted and have a thermal vent roast his nuts, (ah Christmas in July). Still a VA vs a VA and a MG2 makes for a short match.

We took a break before the second round for Frans to make a new toon only to get disappointed that Frans' new character would have to wait two more levels before they could PvP. I will not ruin the punch line anymore than to say the Spaceship Super Explosion Spectacular would have been awesome. I am certain that Frans will fix the problem before next week so we can see it. Hope the rest of you TFBBers are all are there.

As for the second match JC stuck with Jimmy Funk, Frans busted out Vigo the Carpathian, and I stuck with Biede but for a twist we went for space combat around the Cracked Planetoid. JC really wanted to test a build that proved to be effective against Z, (a feat in and of it's self). Frans wanted to show how sadistic he could be with a capture and control Nebula and I just wanted to show i could survive as a MG in a VA world.

I have to hand it to JC when he said his Gal-X was a tough ship he meant it. Took the better part of an hour for Frans and I to rack up six kills on him. Frans Gravity Well and Tractor Beams were effective at getting JC's Gal-X to sit still long enough to pound him but my support build lacked the punch to really take advantage of the situation. Still I was able to stay in the fray a lot longer than I should have and I was able to help Frans with shield and hull heals so that was fun. Then Frans had to go which left only JC and I.

I am not one to back down from a fight and neither is JC so we went at it mano-a-mano for I lost track of how long, (at least half an hour). I was convinced that I would get popped by JC a lot before we started. Dunno maybe JC went easy on me but our personal match within a match resulted in 0 to 0. the only thing that really saved my butt was a combination of speed agility and timing. Even with my subsystem power set to heavily favor engines JC managed to run me down more than once, (0.0). Cruisers can be real drag racers in a straight line. All said I had to go to sleep so we called it a draw.

It was a great day of fighting and goofing off and I hope to see you all back soon so we can share that fun and share notes on what works and what does not.

*note to self* make sure a cruisers nose is not pointed at your six when you run and get a tac with APB on your BoP.

Thanks for posting that Pi! I tend to forget about this board at times when it comes to posting. I hyad fun and I hope you two did also. 2 on 1 scenerios are a challenge I can appreciate, learn from, and enjoy. In ground, I'm not too sure how to make my Engineer tougher but I will definitely take a look at his skills and weapons. Space though, I llearned plenty. I didn't go easy but some weaknesses in my build showed. Science Team isn't as effective as I'd like so that's going to go. With Cryptic nerfing the Galazy X turnrate again, I do need to skill into engines a bit more. When you ran, you were already healed by the time I could even point my ship in your direction so there wasn't much point in chasing you. Althoough probably not today but hopefully by next weeks events, I'll have made my changes to it to try it out again.

I had fun and I learned as well. I look forward to that update of yours. With a little luck I may have a couple of surprises up my sleeve too.

For sure! I forgot to mention the 50k GPL I made yesterday around the 2 rounds. 2x 15k, a lot of 1k and even 2 on the same spin, and lots of lower too contributed to my Engineer getting close to the 100k mark for Gold Pressed Latinum. I would just like to say thank you the person who those numbers reference for the luck. [= I think I'm going to have to get you to pick me some lotto numbers. (;

Todays 3 matches were great! Looking forward to seeing you out next week Senshi. [= Today, ground was the pick of choice by popular demand. Here are todays match results.

Match 1 - Assimilated Cruiser
Match 2 - Shanty Town
Match 3 - No armor, mo shields, no kits, and melee weapons only.

Today had a theme for the first two matches. The Holy Trinity of Ten Forward (Captain_Zero, Capulet, and JCSWW) took on the larger team. All of us a little unprepared, be got slaughtered. XD Round 2 was a bit of a rematch with toons that were a little better equiped to deal with being out numbered on a different playing field. Shanty Town is definitely a fun and very under rated map. [= Match 3mixed things up a bit with some talk from teh TFBB chatbox. Completely malee, no armor, no shields, no kits. If we could of taken off our uniforms, it would of been a pefect "bare essentials tool fest".

Thank you to all who attended!
