I, (Ki'Jagh), was not the one running away. Seeing that SuperDave was in full retreat for three minutes and on your team...

XD

Too much fun today.

Getting a well balanced match was difficult. I'd like to think that Hort's use of gravity well, (and my lack of polarize hull and attack pattern omega), went a long way to reinforce that balance issue. Look at what happened when Hort and I wound up on the same team.

Balance is always hard to achieve in any sort of PvP match. When we do get a balance, it's usually more luck than anything. Different toons, different ships, etc make it all gard to keep track of and we all know Cryptic has nothing on the back end to filter teams. It would be nice to get options to automatically filter teams by criteria like ship classes, career paths, etc. I know a single colick solution to divide up teams based on those things would make it a lot quicker to get matches started.

Dude that is a thread unto itself right there. If Cryptic was to make back end tool like that it would make it a lot easier for some PUGgers to fly against premades. Would increase wait times for queues though so it should be an option to use but for challenge matches that would go a long way to increasing PvP satisfaction.

I'll try to explain what I mean better. Lets say, you have 6 people in a match lobby. What I'd like is a buttton to filter them into teams based on criteria. If that criteria is what they're piloting, then the result would be something like below.

Red

Escort/Tac
Sci/Sci
Cruiser/Cruiser

Blue

Cruiser/Tac
Eng/Cruiser
Sci/Sci

A way of automatically of just taking a bunch of people in a lobby for private matches and filtering it in a way through Queues that at least tries to look at the career patch and ship of what's avaiable and split them into teams that aren't ridiculously one-sided. With Fleet based PvP, I think there should be some sort of ranking system. That way, you should be able to identify if you're going up against the LoD (if you don't know who they are) just by their ranking.

Heh, like you said in-game, I'm all about crowd control. That build is good for team vs team, but it just doesn't have the firepower to win in a one-on-one fight.

When I fight someone without a helper, it'll end with me being scattered across the sector. I try to run away when that happens. I drop glitter to distract people and head for the hills.

Yeah, yeah! Slow at getting up results. What can I say other than you people know how to distract me. 3 rounds today and I don't have the third. With the heat being cranked up in my building, my video card got a little too warm and decided to reboot my system in the middle of the round. Todays poison was, VA, Lt. G space battles.

Round 1 - Solar Wind
Round 2 - Cracked Planetoid

Both great matches today! The first went a little quicker for my team as we died... lots. The second, we did better though and even popped Jackle a few times. See what happens when you run off to single player games like SW:TOR? YOU GET SOFT!!! I know, I know! It's all Dawson's fault. (;

Thanks to everyone who attended and I hope to see you all and more of you next week!

I love it when Jackle's in denial!

I'm curious to know if you guys are interestede in a Mario Kart Wii TFBB event in the upcoming future? It's a change of pace, still tons of fun, and a good way to mix things up a bit.

I've posted a poll for this weekend's event options.

In honoring the 3-way tie from last weekend, this weekend's event is primarily Fleet Actions, if we get enough to turn out, since we didn't get to run these.

The poll lists the Federation options, but I believe the Klingon Fleet actions are pretty much one and the same if y'all want to run those.
