I'm tired of REvisiting old content thats been REdone or REmastered
it's time to accelerate work on the foundry, get it on holodeck, and get cracking on terriritory control.

give me and my people the ability to create our own content, dynamic meaningful pvp and the foundry.

then go and REmaster whatever you feel the need to,
create millions of REpeatable missions, I won't need to even see them.

the foundry adds depth, but it needs the territory conflict to
give us much needed depth.

don't REpeat the mistakes of the rest of the mmo graveyard

We're getting the Foundary soon enough to be honest.

And I guess you want this game to have low ratings still.....just an FYI, there is a chance that NEW players will come to STO...and I'd rather have them get a better impression than I did during Headstart

To FIX the begining of STO will keep it away from the "mmo graveyard."

And STO is going to get a nice update soon in addition to Foundary.

2 cents.

The team working on "re-mastering" is likely not the same team working on the foundry and other such updates, so chill. Whether they were re-mastering episodes or not has no bearing on the speed of the foundry update.

Correct.

As a matter of fact I heard it was only one person working on the remastering, Gozer.

Too many cooks spoils the pot. You can't just pull developers off one project and dump them on another and get better or faster results. The results are universally worse and slower. This is what Microsoft does, and the result is... Well, Microsoft.

The people working on missions haven't been involved in the Foundry. They don't know the code, they haven't been in the meetings. And worse, there's a pretty good chance they're not even coders, but designers.

STO's low ratings have NOTHING to do with the current missions. It has to do with 3 main issues: 1) ground combat not being designed well, 2) one of its factions having very little content, and 3) not much of an end game. I have not read ONE review of STO that said "they really need to re-do this specific mission".

Last I checked, if you get an 8/10 on story there's still 2 points to gain, even if ground combat is 4/10 and has more room to improve. Every review mentioned the missions could feel more like Trek not just look like trek.

Furthermore, a lot of the tech was added for these missions already - the programmers / project art team are already being freed up for work on the Foundry, Territory Control, etc.

What Gozer/jheinig/chaddington appear to be doing isn't necessarily working for or against Territory Control, Foundry Updates, etc. They're distinct and specialized laborers.

From my understanding of what I read, the "more like Trek" request has to do with not killing every single thing you come across, not adding awkward angled cinematics and class objectives that make certain classes ignore sick people(a very "un Trek" thing, if I say so myself). In short, I dont think what you just said has anything to do with my post that you quoted.
