Missing additional character slot for current/ lapsed Gold Members
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it appears that the background for ESD windows is sort of curved around ESD, which means that at the point where the sun is centered here in the shipyard:
I never bothred to look out the window... Seems I should start xD
I like looking at Earth from ESD and trying to see my house. They should put some of those binocular things, like the ones on the Empire State Building, by some of the windows. Except these should be super strong. You just pop in an energy credit and you can see what's going on on Earth.
Tinted wndows - the UV the Sun puts out is something fierce where ESD is located. No nice thick atmosphere to protect those on ESD from things like solar radiation...
Well there was that one episode of "The Outer Limits" back in the 90's with Kirsten Dunst and most of Humanity need to change their form to survive the new sun. But that's way off topic
It has to due with the fact that we cannot put the sun "far enough away" and still have it within graphic card draw distance to give proper perspective... so as you move around the station, your view angle of the sun will change dramatically because it is technically much closer than it should be.
